The Chinese company Realme is able to surprise the audience. In its assortment there are several dozen hits that have earned the love of millions of buyers. However, sometimes the developer is frankly lazy, essentially releasing the same models. So, the hero of today's review in many respects repeats the gadgets released by the corporation a couple of years ago.

The appearance of the novelty will definitely appeal to users. The beautiful design of the rear panel, an attractive dual camera unit, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and an almost bezel-less screen look good against the background of opponents, although there are a number of drawbacks, such as glossy plastic that quickly collects chips and scratches. The 6.5-inch display is created using IPS technology, which negatively affects the brightness level. It’s impossible to scold other indicators of the IPS screen, because they meet modern standards. Resolution of 2408 x 1080 pixels, 90Hz refresh rate, no tilt distortion will be exactly approved.

But with the technical characteristics, the situation is not so clear. The MediaTek Dimensity 810 CPU is far from a new chipset. Even with 6GB / 8GB of RAM, the specified processor does not catch up with the performance of fresh solutions from the same manufacturer. While the interface of Android 12 is quite smooth and responsive, the most resource-intensive games will only run on low graphics presets. The resulting picture cannot be called outstanding. There are no problems with autonomy, in fact, like competitors. The 5000mAh battery provides 8-10 hours of active screen time stably, it is characterized by fast charging at 33W. The size of the internal storage also did not let us down, 128/256GB of ROM, coupled with a microSD card slot, is enough even for impressive collections of applications and multimedia files.

The main 50- and 8-megapixel photosensors led by Samsung JN1 are not the limit of perfection. An inexpensive module succumbs to complex shooting scenarios; getting a good evening shot is not easy. The same words apply to capturing moving objects. Savings are also evident in the sound. The mono speaker is not the loudest, the bass is not enough to comfortably listen to your favorite musical compositions. I am glad that at least NFC contactless payments are left. As a result, the gadget is not considered a bad option to purchase, but any progress in comparison with its predecessors is minimal or simply absent.
