Realme 11 Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Realme 11 Overview
Realme 11 - beautiful mediocrity?
It is not easy to create an inexpensive, but incredibly balanced smartphone in an era of another economic crisis and rising prices for components. This is evidenced by the obvious stagnation of the technical characteristics of phones in the middle price segment. To successfully fight for a buyer, manufacturers have to look for other competitive advantages for their products. So, the Chinese company Realme has relied on excellent design. But the rest of the novelty is not impressive.
As noted earlier, it's hard not to fall in love with the thoughtful appearance of the gadget. Leather-styled rear panel with a stunning circle of photomodules is perfectly combined with a variety of color schemes of cases. The material is tactilely very pleasant, fingerprints are not visible on it, there are almost no scratches. The front surface is 85% glass covered with a 6.43-inch AMOLED display. The screen bezel is visible only from below, the neat eye of the selfie camera in the corner pleases the eye. The only pity is that the 8-megapixel module itself cannot be considered outstanding. The AMOLED screen is characterized by a built-in fingerprint sensor, a bright and rich picture with FullHD + resolution. At the same time, the increase in the smoothness of content thanks to the 90-Hz refresh rate has not been forgotten.
The use of the latest MediaTek Dimensity 6020 processor is positive until you realize that this is actually a rebranded 700th model. Of course, together with 8 / 12GB of RAM and the Mali G57MC2 graphics adapter, it is enough for the stable and fast operation of the Android 13 interface, but the gaming capabilities are no longer able to impress the user. Recent games like the beautiful Honkai: Star Rail or the demanding Genshin Impact will have to be run at the lowest graphics presets, otherwise an abundance of lags cannot be avoided. But they did not save on the battery. A capacious 5000 mAh battery will not leave you without a day and a half of interaction with a mobile assistant. Also, charging with a power of 33W will not be superfluous. The size of the permanent memory is not limited to 128/256GB, if necessary, it can be easily expanded with MicroSD cards.
With photographic capabilities, the situation is controversial. There is no wide-angle lens, but the installed 64- and 2-megapixel sensors have not moved forward in detail and natural color reproduction in comparison with cameras of other representatives of the three-year-old line. Of course, daytime photos deserve compliments, because they have a lot of clear details, but when the lighting deteriorates, blurring is not long in coming. There is no stereo sound, so you should not rely on high-quality and loud sound from a single speaker. But the convenient proprietary RealmeUI shell, support for NFC contactless payments and 5G networks, which are increasingly used in Europe and the CIS, have not been forgotten. As a result, the device is aimed at fans of externally attractive Android devices, ready to forgive the imperfection of the phablet in other aspects.
