Realme 11 Pro+ Overview
Realme 11 Pro+ - improvements that won't be enough
Mid-range smartphones are rarely perfectly balanced. Achieving a reasonable cost in the global economic crisis is not an easy task, and manufacturers still need to demonstrate the progress of devices in comparison with their predecessors. Although the hero of today's review has become better, the changes turned out to be clearly insufficient to increase sales.
The novelty has undergone a serious redesign. The circular design of the photomodules on the back panel distinguishes the gadget from the background of monotonous opponents, however, glass and metal in the design of a monoblock would make it much more effective. Unfortunately, the case is made of polycarbonate, which is weakly resistant to scratches and chips. Not without a cover. The 6.7-inch AMOLED display is good for the price range. FullHD + resolution is still relevant and guarantees decent image clarity, the 120 Hz refresh rate of the picture does not fail, natural color reproduction. What really separates the AMOLED panel from its flagship counterparts is the headroom.
Specifications have not added to performance. The MediaTek Dimensity 7050 processor is just a slightly modified 1080th chip, so its combination with 12GB of RAM and the Mali G68-MC4 video adapter does not set records in benchmarks (500,000+ AnTuTu points) or games. Gamers will be able to experience comfortable, lag-free gameplay in Genshin Impact and similar titles at low-medium graphics presets. But you can play for an extremely long time thanks to the excellent energy efficiency of the CPU. A 5000mAh battery is enough for 9-10 hours of active screen time, but you can gain full capacity in about 30 minutes thanks to a 100W fast charge. Developers continue to get rid of microSD card slots in their phones, so you will only have to hope for 256/512/1024GB of internal storage.
With cameras, the situation is more unambiguous. The modest 8 and 2-megapixel sensors are now complemented by a 200-megapixel technology module from Samsung. Detailing of daytime shots has increased significantly, evening shots are devoid of noise and blurry objects. The reason for such results lies also in the presence of optical stabilization. A pair of speakers cope with the duties assigned to them, the sound is loud, rich, it is pleasant to listen to even complex musical compositions. Contactless NFC payments are in place, as is 5G support. But will users forgive only minor improvements at an increased price tag? We don't have an answer to this question.
