Realme 13+ 5G Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Realme 13+ 5G Overview
Realme 13+ 5G - the further, the easier?
There has been some stagnation in the range of smartphones in the low and mid-price segment of the Chinese company Realme lately. The increase in numbers in the name is not always a guarantee that the user will receive a device that has been improved in comparison with its predecessor. This situation happened with the hero of today's review.
The appearance of the new product has become slightly more interesting thanks to the updated block of photo modules and changed colors of the rear panels made of polycarbonate, stylized as leather. The display frames with a built-in fingerprint scanner are thin, but the frame of the case is still made of plastic. The 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with a FullHD+ resolution is devoid of obvious disadvantages. The clarity of the picture is good, the smoothness at a refresh rate of 120 Hz is decent, the brightness of 2000 nits is not a record, but sufficient for using the gadget in direct sunlight. There is even an oleophobic coating, although its efficiency is not flagship.
With technical characteristics, everything is fine. The MediaTek Dimensity 7300 CPU produces impressive results in benchmarks. 8GB/12GB of RAM and the Mali G615MC2 video accelerator help the chipset score almost 750 thousand points in the AnTuTu test, cope with the RealmeUI shell (Android 14) without any noticeable problems. Gaming capabilities are not bad, you can enjoy really resource-intensive games like Zenless Zone Zero with medium-high graphics settings. The energy efficiency of the processor is excellent, which, together with the 5000 mAh battery, allows you to count on a couple of days of autonomous operation of the mobile assistant. The fast charging power is increased to 80W, you need to stay near the outlet for about 30 minutes. The permanent memory can be allocated from 128 to 256 GB depending on the configuration. There is also a slot for MicroSD cards.
With photo capabilities, everything is complicated. The wide-angle module is gone, which limits the list of shooting scenarios, but the useless 2-megapixel portrait sensor remains. Thank God that the main 50-megapixel Sony LYT600 sensor with hybrid stabilization is in place. The daytime photos taken by it are characterized by stunning detail, the camera does not fall flat on its face during evening photo sessions. Stereo speakers are present, they give not the loudest, but at the same time surround sound. Of the additional advantages, we highlight the presence of contactless NFC payments and support for 5G networks by the modem. As a result, we have a beautiful and balanced device, which is still inferior to the previous device of the line in a number of parameters. And it is this one that is more logical to recommend for purchase.
