Realme 13 Pro Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Realme 13 Pro Overview
Realme 13 Pro - improvements plus deterioration
The Chinese company Realme does not always make only rational decisions, despite its impressive experience. So, sometimes the new generation of the smartphone line can be worse than the previous one in a number of parameters. The hero of today's review, unfortunately, is a clear example of such a controversial approach.
The appearance of the new product has definitely become more interesting. The updated palette of colors of the back panels looks expensive and stylish, the display frames with a built-in fingerprint scanner have been reduced, the block of photo modules is now even more original and beautiful. The metal edging is still the lot of flagships, you will have to put up with its plastic counterpart. The 6.7-inch AMOLED screen has a resolution of 2412x1080 pixels. It cannot be considered a record in the price segment, but the clarity of the picture necessary for the diagonal is still created. Maximum brightness of more than 1500 nits, image refresh rate of 120 Hz, decent color rendition and the presence of an oleophobic coating become additional reasons to praise the AMOLED panel.
The technical characteristics include the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 CPU, 8 GB / 12 GB RAM and the Adreno 710 video core. The performance of the bundle is about 10% higher compared to the previously used one, which has a positive effect on the performance of games. The well-known resource-intensive Zenless Zero Zone, Diablo Immortal and similar projects will function smoothly on the device, although to achieve a stable frame rate you need to set medium graphics settings. The battery capacity is 5200 mAh, so you should not worry about autonomy. Up to 9-10 hours of active screen time will be the usual result. But for some reason, the fast charging power was reduced to 45W, which is why the device will have to be near the outlet for about 50-60 minutes. The permanent memory is not expanded with MicroSD cards, but 128/256/512 GB will be enough for the vast majority of buyers.
Surprisingly, the photo capabilities have worsened. The telephoto lens was cut, the 8-megapixel wide-angle lens is mediocre. The main Sony LYT-600 50 MP photosensor is not bad, thanks to hybrid stabilization it is ready to create both detailed evening shots and clear shots with moving objects. However, this is still not a flagship level of photography, which is noticeable by the noise and other artifacts. There is stereo sound, although it is far from the loudest and richest. NFC contactless payments are not forgotten. However, the overall impression of the device is extremely mixed, because today it is more logical to buy a predecessor at a more reasonable price and sometimes even with better functionality.
