Realme 14T Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Realme 14T Overview
Realme 14T - the right mid-range smartphone?
The Chinese company Realme decided to suddenly expand the line of inexpensive smartphones with representatives with a previously unseen T-index in the series. The hero of today's review is the most affordable of the new products, pleasantly pleasing with both balanced technical characteristics and an attractive design for the price segment.
As noted above, the phone looks not only relevant, but also better than most competitors. The leather-styled rear panels look effective also thanks to the modern rectangular camera block, and the front surface attracts attention with thin frames of the 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a built-in fingerprint scanner. Perhaps, the exterior lacks only a metal frame, but you won't find it in 99% of the gadget's opponents. The quality of the image displayed on the screen is high. The FullHD+ resolution guarantees good image clarity, and its increased smoothness is achieved by using a 120 Hz refresh rate. Color rendering is free of serious errors, and the PWM effect will be invisible to people sensitive to it.
The MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor (8 GB RAM, Mali G57MC2 video adapter) is a relatively new chipset with 5G network support, which has a normal ratio of performance and energy efficiency at a low cost. The result in the AnTuTu benchmark is not so far from 400 thousand points, so there is no need to worry about the performance of the RealmeUI shell (Android 15). The gaming capabilities of the CPU are also not disappointing. You can spend many hours of gameplay even in resource-intensive Genshin Impact and Zenless Zone Zero with minimal graphics settings. The monoblock does not overheat, and the 6000 mAh battery is enough for 10-12 hours of active screen time. It is difficult to criticize the charging speed with its power of 45W. You need to be at the outlet for less than 50-55 minutes. The permanent memory is allocated 128/256 GB. Some may find this volume small, but the slot for MicroSD cards partially solves the problem.
The photo capabilities of the 50- and 2-megapixel photo modules do not disappoint thanks to the presence of hybrid stabilization in the main sensor. The frames obtained with its help are rich and detailed even in fairly poor lighting. However, some users will miss the wide-angle lens. There is stereo sound, but you will hardly want to listen to music without pronounced bass and with an unbalanced frequency response in general. There is no separate headphone jack, you will have to make do with a wireless headset. But there is an LDAC codec. Also not forgotten are contactless payments NFC, gyroscope. Thus, the device turned out to be quite competitive and with a reserve justifies the money requested for it.
