Realme 15 Pro Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Realme 15 Pro Overview
Realme 15 Pro - a good and strange solution
The Chinese company Realme knows how to make surprises for its fans, but they are not always pleasant. So, for some reason, the corporation decided to abandon the release of the Plus version of the smartphone of its main line this year. As a result, the hero of today's review is now the senior configuration. Unfortunately, the device has lost several competitive advantages, even though it has become more technologically advanced and more productive.
The appearance of the new product does not raise questions. Very thin screen frames with a built-in fingerprint scanner are perfectly combined with an updated camera block, a variety of well-thought-out colors of the rear panels made of tempered glass. The monoblock is not only ergonomic, but also shockproof, and the gadget is not afraid of moisture and dust (water protection according to IP69 standards). The 6.8-inch AMOLED display has a resolution of 2800x1280 pixels, providing excellent clarity, as much as 144 Hz refresh rate of the image with its smoothness, peak brightness of 6500 nits, realistic color rendition. And the AMOLED panel could not do without an effective oleophobic layer.
The role of technical characteristics is assigned to the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 CPU, 8 GB / 12 GB RAM and Adreno 722 video adapter. The performance of the bundle goes over a million points in the AnTuTu benchmark, the vast majority of resource-intensive games can be successfully launched at high or maximum graphic presets. At the same time, the frame rate will be stable thanks to a decent cooling system and energy efficiency of the processor. The developer has increased the battery to a grandiose 7000 mAh, with which you can really count on two or even three days of active use of the mobile assistant. There is also a fast wired charger at 80 W, but there is still no wireless analogue. It is easy to notice the lack of a slot for MicroSD cards, so before buying you need to decide in advance how much ROM you need: 128, 256 or 512 GB.
The situation with photo capabilities is controversial. So, the device does not have a telephoto lens, which will upset some photography enthusiasts. But at the same time, the main 50-megapixel Sony IMX896 sensor with hybrid stabilization and a wide-angle lens of the same 50 MP perfectly reveal their potential and do not upset the detail of even evening shots, and there are no problems with capturing moving objects. Stereo sound is not flagship, but loud and relatively balanced. NFC contactless payment and 5G support complete the list of advantages of a competitive, but still controversial device compared to its predecessors.
