Realme 8 Pro 5G Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Realme 8 Pro 5G Overview
Realme 8 Pro 5G - a replacement for flagships?
Many countries in Europe and the CIS have not yet had time to test all the advantages of 5G networks, but this type of communication is the future. Smartphone manufacturers are well aware of this fact and are trying to please their fans with 5G novelties, even in the middle price segment. However, a finicky audience, even from such models, will demand performance, autonomy, and attractive design. Will the hero of today's review be able to answer all the listed requests?
The appearance of the novelty can be scolded solely for the abundance of plastic in the role of the body material and not the narrowest "chin" at the bottom of the screen. But such trifles are fully redeemed by the combination of a tiny lens of a 16-megapixel selfie camera in the corner of a frameless AMOLED display, a neat block of four cameras, and memorable colors of the rear panels. An in-screen fingerprint scanner only adds to the relevance of the exterior. The 6.4-inch AMOLED panel isn't frustrating either. Although it was cheated by the increased refresh rate of the picture, the highest parameters of brightness and contrast, coupled with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels, help to overlook this omission. Moreover, the protective glass is also covered with a film with a high-quality oleophobic layer.
Specifications are the strong point of the phone. The Qualcomm Snapdragon750G CPU epitomizes both 5G frequency support, superior power efficiency and gaming power. Together with 6GB / 8GB ofRAM and the Adreno 619 graphics accelerator, the chipset does away with the Android 11 interface, undemanding applications like browsers, video players and photo editors, and resource-intensive games. Only in the most technologically advanced projects like Genshin Impact is it necessary to reduce the graphic presets to the lower-middle ones. The internal storage capacity of 128GB is not bad by modern standards, but it can always be increased with MicroSD cards .
The gadget did not have all the impressive photographic capabilities thanks to the combination of 108-, 8- and 2-megapixel (pair of sensors) cameras. The Samsung HM2 does a great job with daytime photography, carefully transferring color and detail. Only complex shooting scenarios like moving objects in poor lighting conditions are not sufficient for the photo module. The battery capacity has reached 5000mAh , so it's easy to count on 10-12 hours of active screen time from a single charge. In this case, you will stay at the outlet with the device for about 40-50 minutes. NFC contactless payments are present, but the device has been deprived of stereo sound. We'll have to be content with the sound of a single speaker. Thus, the device combines most of the functionality of more expensive counterparts at a fairly rational price tag. Is this not a reason to take a closer look at buying a phablet?
