Realme GT Neo 6 Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Realme GT Neo 6 Overview
Realme GT Neo 6 - sub-flagship improvement
The Chinese company Realme continues to expand its GT line of smartphones that have earned the love of users due to their performance and functionality. Each subsequent generation raises the bar for price-quality ratio even higher, and this statement is true for all new models. The hero of today's review is no exception.
The new product improves the design concept of its predecessors. The triple camera unit actually remains the same, and the RGB LED located next to it for displaying notifications has not disappeared anywhere. The exterior is decorated with stylish colors of glass back panels and a frameless display all around. The AMOLED panel received an increased resolution of 2772x1240 pixels, an excellent image refresh rate of 120Hz and, importantly, a brightness rating of almost 1700 nits. As a result, the image is simply devoid of flaws, and the excellent built-in fingerprint scanner complements the positive impression of the screen.
It is difficult to imagine better technical characteristics for a phone at the border of the middle and high price segments than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 CPU, 12GB/16GB of RAM, Adreno 735 video core. It will be difficult to find stutters both in the Android 14 interface (RealmeUI shell) and in operation applications. Launching browsers and instant messengers takes a fraction of a second; known resource-intensive games (Fortnite, Genshin Impact) function flawlessly at maximum graphic settings. At the same time, the heating of the device is low even after long gaming sessions, which indicates both a high-quality cooling system and a reserve of power for the future. Energy efficiency also does not disappoint, so from a 5500 mAh battery it is not difficult to get about a day and a half of operation of the device. You won’t have to stay at the outlet for long, since the charging power has reached an impressive 120W. The size of the permanent memory can be equal to 256, 512 or 1024GB of ROM without the possibility of expansion.
The photographic capabilities of the auxiliary wide-angle photo module are not exciting, and the device also does not have a telephoto lens. However, such shortcomings are completely compensated by the magnificent 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 module with hybrid stabilization. It easily copes with any shooting scenarios, leaving a minimal amount of noise and blur even when capturing dynamic scenes in mediocre lighting. Of course, the phablet also features loud, balanced stereo sound and NFC contactless payments. There was even a place for an infrared port to control household appliances. The only things missing from the ideal are wireless charging and moisture protection, but they are reserved for full-fledged flagships. Thus, the gadget has everything necessary to win the hearts of millions.
