The GT series of smartphones from the Chinese company Realme has significantly advanced in functionality and performance over the past few years. The phones have acquired the most technologically advanced processors, modern photo modules, and have become noticeably more interesting in appearance. However, the devices are still far from ideal. Thus, the basic models of the series did not receive advanced cameras, moisture protection, and other flagship features that fans of the brand would like to see. Fortunately, the hero of today's review partially corrects the situation.
The appearance of the new product is quite attractive, but there are a number of questions about it. The frames of the 6.8-inch AMOLED display are thin, the body is made of high-quality polycarbonate, there is a metal frame that pleasantly cools the palm, but the massive and not very beautiful block of three photo modules slightly spoils the impression. But there is full protection from dust and moisture (IP69). The AMOLED screen has an optimal resolution of 2780x1264 pixels for the diagonal, an actual 120 Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 4000 nits, and natural color rendition. There is an in-screen fingerprint scanner and a high-quality oleophobic coating.
With technical specifications, everything is more than in order. The updated MediaTek Dimensity 9400e CPU, 12 GB of RAM, and the Mali-G720 Immortalis MP12 video accelerator score over two million points in the AnTuTu test and easily handle both the Android 15 interface and any resource-intensive applications and games. Photo and video editors function without lags, the most demanding Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail produce 60 or more frames per second at maximum graphics settings. The battery life issue is covered by a 7000mAh battery, which means you won't have to think about the nearest outlet for a couple of days. The wired charging power is increased to 120W, but there is no wireless analog. The permanent memory can be 256/512GB.
The photo capabilities are generally pleasing. The auxiliary sensors include a 50MP telephoto lens with a two-fold optical zoom and an 8MP wide-angle lens, which are by no means useless when taking photos. But the main 50MP module from Sony with hybrid stabilization copes even better with daytime and even evening shooting, although there may still be blur and noise with increased dynamics of events. The stereo sound is excellent, it is balanced and loud. NFC contactless payments and 5G network support are in place. Thus, the gadget will undoubtedly suit gamers or ordinary users who want to get speed and long battery life from a mobile assistant.
