Realme Narzo 60 5G Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Realme Narzo 60 5G Overview
Is Realme Narzo 60 5G a smartphone behind the times?
The Chinese company Realme gradually began to adopt tactics from its main competitor in the person of Xiaomi Corporation. So, the brand that has gained experience has now been releasing almost identical smartphones for several years in a row, differing only in a more relevant design. So, the hero of today's review is unlikely to be included in the bestseller list because of its technological backwardness within the price category.
The appearance of the novelty will appeal to most of the audience thanks to the beautiful rear panel, stylized as leather, the branded round block of two photomodules, and the side fingerprint scanner. But what really causes controversial emotions is the huge lower display frame. Fortunately, the 6.43-inch AMOLED screen itself turned out to be pretty good. It has a FullHD + resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, so it is hardly necessary to worry about the detail and smoothness of the reproduced image. But the margin of brightness, although not considered low, is still not always sufficient for the direct rays of the sun. However, for truly high-quality AMOLED displays, you should already turn to flagships.
The technical characteristics are the MediaTek Dimensity 6020 processor, 8GB of RAM and the Mali G57MC2 video adapter. Do not be confused by the unfamiliar CPU index, in fact, we have a renamed 700th model. Its performance at the level of 350 thousand points in the AnTuTu test is no longer surprising, many modern games run with noticeable lags even with minimal graphics presets. The Android 13 interface rarely slows down, but sometimes friezes are noticeable when scrolling large pages in the browser. But what cannot be taken away from the chipset is energy efficiency. The 5000mAh battery needs to be charged every couple of days. To speed up this process, fast charging at 33W is provided. 128/256GB of permanent memory is allocated, it is possible to increase the ROM with MicroSD cards.
There is no advancement in photo opportunities. A frankly useless 2-megapixel auxiliary photo sensor is combined with a 64-megapixel Omnivision OV64B module without optical stabilization. Unfortunately, you won't have to count on excellent evening shots with this camera, detailed and clear photos are possible only during the day. There is no stereo sound, which is disappointing. One quiet speaker still does not have a flat frequency response. But there is support for 5G networks and NFC, so the functionality of the phablet cannot be called mediocre. But the abundance of small, and sometimes critical minuses will not allow the device to be sold in millions of copies.
