Realme Neo7x Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Realme Neo7x Overview
Realme Neo7x - a revolution with obvious shortcomings
Smartphones at the turn of the lower and middle price segments have remained at about the same level of performance and functionality for quite a long time due to the need for developers to maintain a reasonable cost. There has been no noticeable improvement in inexpensive chipsets for several years, but finally this moment has happened. However, the Chinese company Realme decided not to stop at just changing the processor of the hero of today's review. But there were some offensive blunders.
The appearance of the new product deserves compliments. Thin screen frames around the entire perimeter look expensive, a fingerprint scanner is located inside it. The back panel is equally beautiful in both gray and brown colors, and the photo module block is also modern. Surprisingly, there is full moisture protection according to IP68 standards. Of course, not everything worked out without savings. So, the case is mostly made of plastic. The AMOLED panel has a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels, which has already become standard for the diagonal, so the image clarity is good. The smoothness of the content is ensured by a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The maximum brightness of 2000 nits allows you to work with the device in direct sunlight, albeit with some loss of image visibility.
The technical characteristics include the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 CPU, 8 GB / 12 GB RAM and Adreno 810 video accelerator. This is an extremely productive bundle for the price category, gaining about 700 thousand points in the AnTuTu synthetic test and generally coping with all modern applications and games far from the minimum graphic presets. Honkai: Star Rail and Fortnite did not add to the list of exceptions. At the same time, the battery capacity instead of the usual 5000 mAh has been increased to 6000 mAh, which has a positive effect on autonomy. Now you can actively spend about two days with your mobile assistant. The charging power is an excellent 45W. The constant memory can be allocated 128/256/512 GB, but you cannot expand the ROM with MicroSD cards.
But the photo capabilities are already a weak point of the device. The 50-megapixel main sensor from Omnivision is small and lacks optical stabilization, the 2-megapixel portrait module is essentially useless. Thus, if it is possible to create high-quality photos, then only in daylight and static events. Stereo sound is present, but the upper speaker is quieter, and there is practically no bass. As for other advantages of the phablet, their number will be replenished with contactless payments NFC, IR port, 5G support. However, the focus on the Chinese market has led to several untranslated applications and services, and to the absence of FDD-LTE B7, due to which 4G networks do not always function perfectly in the CIS and European countries. However, a significant leap forward in most parameters with a democratic price tag will make the gadget a hit even with the above problems.
