Realme P4 5G Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Realme P4 5G Overview
Realme P4 5G - consequences of a limited budget
Creating a smartphone in the low-mid price segment with a minimum of disadvantages and at the same time pronounced competitive advantages is an extremely difficult task. And even experienced and famous brands do not always cope with it. So, not everything worked out with the hero of today's review and the Chinese company Realme. However, do not be upset right away, because the new product is still worthy of praise.
The device looks more expensive than its real price tag. This is due to the relatively thin screen frames with a built-in fingerprint scanner, and unusual colors of the back panel stylized as leather, and a stylish block of photo modules. Of course, everything is made of polycarbonate, you should not expect miracles from the materials of manufacture. There is moisture protection, but not complete, according to IP66 standards. The 6.77-inch AMOLED display does not impress with its clarity at a resolution of 2392x1080 pixels, but it has a flagship refresh rate of 144Hz, an excellent brightness reserve of 4500 nits, minimal PWM effect and natural color rendition.
The technical characteristics are the latest MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultra processor, 6GB/8GB RAM and a Mali G615MC2 video accelerator. In fact, we are dealing with a slightly overclocked 7300 chipset, so the AnTuTu benchmark shows the familiar 700,000 points. They are enough for the responsiveness of the RealmeUI shell interface (Android 15), although lags sometimes appear. You can also try out all existing gaming applications, but in the most demanding ones you need to choose low-medium graphic presets. The permanent memory can be 128/256 GB, there is no slot for MicroSD cards, which is somewhat disappointing. But the autonomy reaches an impressive 10-12 hours of active screen time thanks to a huge 7000 mAh battery, which also pleases with fast charging with a power of 80 W.
But now we have reached the weakest part of the device, namely its photo capabilities. The main small 50-megapixel module from Omnivision without optical stabilization is not very suitable for complex shooting scenarios, even a slight deterioration in lighting leads to numerous noises and blurs. Auxiliary 8-megapixel wide-angle lens and 0.3-megapixel portrait sensor also do not deserve compliments. Support for 5G networks is always present, but the availability of contactless NFC payments already depends on regional versions. The final impression of the device is rather positive. If a potential buyer does not often use cameras, the gadget will definitely not cause negative emotions.
