They've become not only a means of communication but a virtual replacement for a personal computer in countless situations. And the vast majority of users would like a device that doesn't require constant access to a power outlet. The hero of today's review, from the Chinese company Realme, could be just such a device.

The design of the new device is extremely attractive for a device of this class. It retains the ergonomics of a high-quality polycarbonate case, IP69 water resistance, thin screen bezels with a built-in fingerprint sensor, and even a reasonable weight. At the same time, it features beautiful color options for the rear panels and a unique camera module. The 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2800x1280 pixels offers decent image clarity, and the flagship 144Hz refresh rate positively impacts the smoothness and responsiveness of content. At the same time, excellent peak brightness of up to 6500 nits and calibrated color reproduction are also present.

The technical specifications are impeccable. The Mediatek Dimensity 7400 processor, 8/12GB of RAM, and Mali G615-MC2 graphics adapter score around 700,000 points in AnTuTu and are capable of handling the RealmeUI interface (Android 16), and modern games are playable at medium graphics settings. The chipset also boasts remarkable energy efficiency, allowing the massive 10,001mAh battery to last up to 3-4 days of active use. Wireless charging is not available, but a wired 80W charger will significantly reduce your time spent at the power bank. Internal storage is 256GB, and there is no microSD card slot.

Photography isn't exactly the device's strong point, especially with its simple 8-megapixel wide-angle lens. The main 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 sensor with hybrid image stabilization has proven itself a good choice for daytime photo shoots, and evening shots aren't always plagued by noise or loss of detail. Stereo sound is present, but it's not particularly loud or immersive. NFC contactless payments and 5G support would be welcome additions to the list of pluses. Overall, this is an affordable, stylish, and functional phablet deserving of respectable sales.
