The smartphone market has captured the hearts and wallets of hundreds of millions of people, each with their own vision of the perfect mobile assistant. The Chinese company Realme decided to find the part of the audience which wants to get an inexpensive, high-performance and autonomous phone and which do not care about the photographic capabilities of the device. But how many buyers will be found?

The designers of the corporation obviously do not get their salaries in vain, because the appearance of the novelty turned out to be extremely interesting for the low-mid price category. Saturated carbon colors of the cases, a stylish dual camera unit, a side fingerprint sensor that is popular today and thin screen frames if not delight, then certainly approval. The only pity is that the front panel is slightly spoiled by the outdated design of the 8-megapixel selfie camera. As for the display, we have a 6.58-inch FullHD + high-resolution IPS matrix with a pleasant 90-Hz refresh rate. The smoothness and clarity of the image are excellent, but the brightness and contrast are only at an average level.

But in terms of technical characteristics, the situation is almost ideal within the cost segment. It is hardly possible to come up with something more relevant than the Mediatek Dimensity 810 CPU with support for 5G networks, 4GB / 6GB of RAM and the Mali G57MC2 video core, because this bundle is distinguished by a modest cost, decent performance and low power consumption. Gamers will be able to try out even the resource-intensive Genshin Impact, albeit with minimal graphics settings, but in everyday communication with Android smartphones, it is not easy to detect lags. Even heavy pages in browsers open without any hesitation. From a battery of 5000mAh, the device functions for a day and a half. Surprisingly, the battery is also endowed with fast charging at 33W. Of course, 128GB of ROM, coupled with a MicroSD slot, are also pleasing, because storing a huge number of applications, music tracks and video files will no longer be a problem.

However, this is where the advantages of the device end. 13- and 2-megapixel main photomodules are simply mediocre, even daytime shots are far from always obtained without noise and blurry objects. There is no stereo sound, as well as contactless NFC payments, which will not appeal to those who like to pay for goods in hypermarkets. Thus, the gadget came out controversial, but still able to find its fan.
