Samsung Galaxy A05 Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Samsung Galaxy A05 Overview
Samsung Galaxy A05 - visible changes that are not enough
The lower end of the smartphone market has changed the most over the past few years. Technological progress has made it possible to increase the functionality of inexpensive devices, their performance, and there are improvements in other parameters. The hero of today's review also demonstrates a noticeable gap in many respects from its predecessor, however, such metamorphoses may not be enough for a demanding audience.
The appearance of the new product has changed. The range of color options for the rear panels has expanded, and the dual camera unit is more interesting. The side fingerprint scanner and smaller display frames are also pleasing to the eye. The screen diagonal has grown to 6.7 inches, but the resolution of 1600x720 pixels remains the same. Image clarity has dropped, small fonts look blurry, but there is something to praise the IPS panel for. Thus, one cannot deny the increase in brightness and naturalness of color rendering.
The technical characteristics are a MediaTek Helio G85 CPU, 6GB of RAM and a Mali G52MC2 video accelerator. The combination is significantly more productive, which has a positive effect on the rendering speed of the Android 13 interface. The gaming capabilities of the device have also been expanded. Now projects like Call Of Duty Mobile and PUBG function more stable, graphic settings can now be set to medium presets. However, fans of Genshin Impact will have to put up with lags and freezes or look for an expensive analogue. The size of the permanent memory was 128GB of ROM, and one of the SIM cards can be replaced with a MicroSD card.
The main 50- and 2-megapixel photo modules have been carried over from the previous model. Daytime shots turn out to be detailed, without excess noise; as lighting deteriorates, the quality of photo content drops noticeably, and numerous blurred objects appear. Of course, the affordable phablet does not have stereo speakers, so you can’t count on rich and loud sound. For some reason, there are no NFC contactless payments either. This drawback will already be critical for a number of users. As a result, it is difficult to definitely recommend the gadget for purchase due to such shortcomings, but its purchase will still not leave negative emotions.
