Samsung Galaxy A05s Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Samsung Galaxy A05s Overview
Samsung Galaxy A05s is a great phablet with one drawback
What should a modern inexpensive smartphone have? Bright display, pleasing design, balanced technical characteristics and good battery life. The hero of today's review has all the listed parameters, but he has a drawback that a number of buyers will definitely not accept.
The appearance of the new product is not bad, although it is far from ideal. What makes it attractive is a variety of colors, a block of photo modules similar to that of the brand’s flagships, and a side fingerprint sensor. However, it’s hard not to notice the 13MP front camera, which is outdated in its design, and the not-so-narrow screen frames. The 6.7-inch IPS panel itself evokes more positive emotions. It combines an excellent resolution of 2400x1080 pixels, a 90-Hz image refresh rate, and no problems with color reproduction.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor is a fairly energy-efficient solution that does not lack performance. The use of 6GB of RAM and the Adreno 610 video adapter seriously increases the smoothness and responsiveness of the Android 13 interface. Gaming capabilities have also expanded, although they are still not satisfactory for real gamers. Thus, the owner of the phone can easily enjoy the gameplay of not particularly demanding titles like Call of Duty Mobile with moderate graphic settings. The good news is that the battery retains a capacity of 5000 mAh (about one and a half days of active use with the device) when the charging power is increased to 25W. The internal memory capacity of 128GB, expandable with MicroSD cards, is also not an issue.
But the photo capabilities are expectedly average. Still, you can’t count on flagship photo and video quality in a low price segment, but 50- and 2-megapixel modules are ready to take decent daytime pictures of static objects. The sound is created by a single speaker, whose volume and balanced frequency response are not impressive. What's really frustrating is NFC contactless payments. Unfortunately, there was no place for them in the device, but many users are already accustomed to simplifying the shopping process in hypermarkets. Thus, the device is no worse than many competitors in terms of price, but a critical minus does not allow us to definitely recommend it for purchase.
