Samsung Galaxy A07 Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Samsung Galaxy A07 Overview
Samsung Galaxy A07 - Small but Important Improvements
Korean company Samsung is unwilling to lose the lower price segment of the smartphone market to its Chinese competitors. Thus, the manufacturer decided to retain most of the technical specifications of one of the most affordable phones in its range, while improving its performance. And it seems that the subject of today's review will remain relevant thanks to this change.
The appearance of the new device has not undergone any changes and already looks somewhat archaic. While the interesting case colors and the signature design of the camera module look good, the same cannot be said about the wide screen bezels, the outdated form factor of the 8-megapixel selfie camera, and the widespread use of cheap plastic. The 6.7-inch PLS display doesn't impress with its sharp image at HD+ resolution; individual pixels can be discerned if desired. Color reproduction is relatively natural, and the refresh rate is increased to 90 Hz, but the brightness of 600 nits is low.
The MediaTek Helio G99 processor, 4GB/6GB of RAM, and Mali G57MC2 GPU are significantly more powerful than the previous combination. AnTuTu scores are now approaching 400,000 points, the Android 15 interface is more stable, and even a number of resource-intensive games can be played. However, high or even medium graphics presets are out of the question. The 5000mAh battery guarantees approximately 8-10 hours of active screen time, and there's even 25W fast charging. Storage options include 64/128/256GB, and there's a microSD card slot.
Photography isn't impressive, but it's slightly better than the base model. The main 50MP sensor and 2MP depth sensor can capture detailed daytime shots, provided there aren't many moving objects or challenging lighting conditions. Of course, evening photos or videos will be significantly marred by noise. And there's no stereo sound or NFC contactless payments, which is disappointing. However, the overall impression of this extremely affordable device is still positive.
