The Korean company Samsung feels great in the middle and high price segments of the smartphone market, which cannot be said about its low cost category. Here, the corporation is still lagging behind its Chinese opponents. Phones like the hero of today's review are closing the gap, but they often lack just a couple of minor improvements in parameters to gain full competitiveness.

The appearance of the new product is not bad, but it also has its downsides. Perhaps the greatest criticism will be the thick lower frame of the display and the outdated design of the 13-megapixel selfie camera. At the same time, the attractive colors of the cases, the neat block of photo modules, and the ergonomic shape of the monoblock deserve praise. The 6.7-inch screen is created using AMOLED technology, but the brightness is only 800 nits. Direct sunlight still noticeably worsens the visibility of the picture. But the image is distinguished by its detail at FullHD+ resolution, smoothness thanks to the 90-Hz refresh rate, and there are no obvious problems with color rendering.

The technical characteristics include the Exynos 1330 chipset, 4GB/8GB of RAM, and the Mali G68MP2 video accelerator (MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor for some regions), the performance of which reaches 430-450 thousand points in the AnTuTu test. Support for 5G networks has appeared, which the predecessor's CPU did not have, and resource-intensive games like Genshin Impact now function confidently at low-medium graphics settings. There is throttling, but it is not critical, the stability of the gameplay is maintained even after hour-long gaming sessions. The battery capacity is 5000 mAh, so you can count on 8-9 hours of active screen time. Fast charging at 25W will also not hurt the buyer. The permanent memory can be 128 or 256 GB depending on the configuration of the gadget, there is a slot for MicroSD cards.

Photo capabilities are the weak point of the device. It is recommended to forget about the auxiliary 5- (wide-angle lens) and 2-megapixel (macro camera) photo sensors right away, use only the main 50-megapixel module. It is already suitable for daytime photo shoots, but you should avoid an abundance of moving objects. Evening shots will be full of noise. There is no stereo sound, and there is no separate headphone jack, which will upset music lovers. But contactless NFC payments have not disappeared, so payment in supermarkets will take a few seconds. As a result, we have a rather stylish and balanced device, which would be brought to the rank of potential bestsellers by good cameras. Apparently, the manufacturer left a reserve for the future.
