The Korean company Samsung does not forget about the lower price segment of the smartphone market, but the eminent manufacturer can only impose full-fledged competition to opponents from China with a stretch. So, the hero of today's review is almost no different from its predecessor and loses in functionality and performance to many competitors with a similar price tag.

The appearance of the new product has practically not changed. You can consider only a slightly modified block of photo modules and a different set of colors. Dimensions, ergonomics, frame thickness, location of the side fingerprint scanner, outdated design of the 13-megapixel selfie camera - everything has been transferred from the previous model. There is basic moisture protection according to IP54 standards. You can walk with a mobile assistant in the rain without any worries about its performance, but it is no longer recommended to completely immerse it under water. The 6.7-inch AMOLED panel has a decent FullHD+ resolution for its diagonal, and it has no serious problems with image smoothness at a refresh rate of 90 Hz. The brightness reserve of 1100 nits is not disappointing, but it is not amazing either, the PWM effect is present and will not be liked by people sensitive to it.

The technical characteristics include the proprietary Exynos 1330 CPU, 4 GB / 8 GB RAM and the Mali G68-MC4 video core. This is not the worst combination for the price category, but it is still inferior in power to many competitors of a similar class from Qualcomm and MediaTek. About 410-420 thousand points in the AnTuTu test indicate that the Android 15 interface will not be full of lags, but in modern resource-intensive games you can count on low graphic presets. However, the latter statement applies to the version with a large amount of RAM, the cheapest option will disappoint with frequent crashes of applications to the desktop. The internal storage is allocated 128/256 GB with a hybrid slot for MicroSD cards. As for autonomy, its level reaches 8-9 hours of active screen time thanks to a 5000 mAh battery. Charging with a power of 25 W can be considered fast with some reservations.

A 5-megapixel wide-angle lens and a 2-megapixel macro camera are unlikely to please a sophisticated photographer, but the main 50-megapixel sensor has acquired optical stabilization. The module itself is simple, but now the chance of getting a high-quality evening shot has become higher. Daytime photos are increasingly devoid of noise and blur. There is no stereo sound, one speaker is more suitable for notifications than for listening to music. However, the advantages include the modem's support for 5G networks and NFC contactless payments. Thus, we have a relatively balanced, but far from the best phone for its money. We recommend buying it for fans of the brand with a limited budget.
