Samsung Galaxy A35 5G Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Samsung Galaxy A35 5G Overview
Samsung Galaxy A35 5G - changes that are easy to predict
The time has come for the Korean company Samsung to update its line of smartphones in the low and mid-price segment. The A3X series of phones is right at the border of these cost categories and is one of the most popular in the manufacturer’s range. And it looks like the hero of today’s review will become another bestseller, because with a reduced price tag, it largely repeats the previously released A54. However, the company's loyal fans expected this.
The appearance of the new product is more than good. The only thing that confuses us is the display frame, but the combination of moisture protection according to IP68 standards, brightly colored cases made of high-quality polycarbonate, an under-screen fingerprint scanner and the proprietary design of the triple camera allow us to ignore this drawback. The 6.64-inch AMOLED panel has increased in brightness, and the image clarity at FullHD+ resolution and its smoothness at a 120 Hz refresh rate are not satisfactory. There is also an effective oleophobic coating. The only pity is that the developer still does not consider the PWM effect to be something bad, so its indicators are far from the most modest.
The technical characteristics are the Exynos 1380 processor, 6GB/8GB of RAM and the Mali G68MP5 video adapter. The bundle scores more than 500 thousand points in the AnTuTu benchmark, its performance is sufficient for stable operation of Android 14 and quick launch of applications. Experienced gamers should take a closer look at more productive solutions, because resource-intensive projects like Honkai: Star Rail will require reducing graphics settings to low-medium presets. But the energy-efficient chipset together with a 5000 mAh battery guarantee excellent autonomy. Sometimes it will take up to one and a half to two days of active work with the mobile assistant. The maximum power of the supported charger is 25W, 128/256GB of permanent memory are allocated. It will not be possible to expand it with MicroSD cards.
The main photo modules were a 50-megapixel Sony LYT600 sensor with hybrid stabilization, an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens and a 5-megapixel portrait module. Their photographic capabilities are sufficient not only for daytime, but also for evening photography. Of course, a certain amount of noise and blur will be present in photographs taken in mediocre lighting, but you can only see them when you enlarge the image. There is stereo sound, it is not particularly loud, but pleasant to the ear due to the presence of bass. NFC contactless payments, a reasonable price and optimized software will be additional incentives to purchase an extremely competitive phablet.
