Samsung Galaxy A36 Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Samsung Galaxy A36 Overview
Samsung Galaxy A36 - small but significant changes
The proprietary Exynos processors, which the Korean company Samsung traditionally uses in its smartphones, are often criticized for problems with throttling and high power consumption. These shortcomings are especially noticeable under long loads, which can negatively affect performance and battery life. In this context, the appearance of a chipset from another manufacturer in the hero of today's review makes the model much more interesting. Even if the real improvements in other aspects compared to the previous version are not so large-scale.
The appearance of the new product largely repeats that of its predecessor, and in general, most of the brand's devices. On the one hand, it is nice to see recognizable features of the exterior of the lines, namely minimalism in the design of the back panel made of high-quality polycarbonate, a metal edging, a neat block of photo modules, an under-screen fingerprint scanner. But the frames of the almost 7-inch AMOLED screen could be smaller, and the design still lacks new memorable details. The quality of the image displayed by the display is not bad. There is a reasonable resolution of 2340x1080 pixels for the diagonal, and a modern refresh rate of 120 Hz, and a color rendition close to realistic. But the usual disadvantages have not gone away. Thus, the PWM effect is strongly expressed and will cause discomfort to people sensitive to it, and the peak brightness of 1200 nits is not always sufficient for direct sunlight.
The updated technical characteristics are the fresh Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chip, 6 GB / 8 GB RAM and Adreno 710 video accelerator. This is a very competitive bundle of the middle price category, gaining about 600 thousand points in the AnTuTu test. It will suit both ordinary users who will be satisfied with the performance of the Android 15 interface, and not particularly sophisticated gamers who can put up with low-medium graphic presets in resource-intensive Genshin Impact, Fortnite, Diablo Immortal. The battery life, thanks to the energy efficiency of the CPU, is 9-10 hours of screen time. The capacious 5000 mAh battery is equipped with a fast charge of 45 W. As for the amount of permanent memory, 128/256 GB of ROM can be expanded with MicroSD cards.
The photographic capabilities have not undergone visible metamorphoses. Auxiliary 8- (wide-angle sensor) and 5-megapixel (macro camera) cameras do not amaze the imagination even when shooting in daylight conditions, so the main 50-megapixel photosensor from Sony with hybrid stabilization will be used for most photos. You can trust him with evening photo sessions without worrying about detail and the amount of noise in future shots. Stereo speakers, IP67 waterproofing, NFC contactless payment, and 5G modem support add to the list of the gadget's advantages, but we've seen all of the above in the series before. But since the device's price tag has hardly changed, purchasing it seems like the right decision.
