Samsung Galaxy S25+ Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Samsung Galaxy S25+ Overview
Samsung Galaxy S25+ - a stagnant bestseller
The mid-priced representative of the flagship line of smartphones from the Korean company Samsung is the model with the Plus index. It combines the most popular dimensions, top performance and a good balance of other indicators. However, over the past few years, the developer has simply re-released the same gadget without noticeable metamorphoses. Does such a device remain competitive today? Let's figure it out.
The new product tries to impress the buyer with a variety of colors, it is very easy to find the color of the back glass panel to your taste. The presence of a metal frame, full moisture protection according to IP68 standards, and thinner screen frames with a built-in fingerprint scanner are also pleasing. However, even loyal fans of the corporation have already become bored with the design concept, I would like to see a less boring exterior. The 6.7-inch AMOLED display is not far behind its competitors in terms of image clarity at a resolution of 3120x1440 pixels, smoothness at a refresh rate of 120 Hz, but there are questions about other parameters. The brightness of 2600 nits is good, but not the maximum in the segment, the color rendering is not always ideal, and the PWM effect is very pronounced. People sensitive to it are unlikely to be able to work with the reviewed mobile assistant for a long time.
The technical characteristics include the most powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, 12 GB of RAM and the Adreno 830 graphics core. Even experienced gamers will be pleased with the power of such a combination, because the bundle scores three million points in the AnTuTu test and can handle any modern games and applications with one hand. Of course, the CPU also shows itself amazingly in reproducing the Android 15 interface. The energy efficiency of the chipset is not particularly impressive, but the 4900 mAh battery allows you to count on 7-8 hours of active screen time. The charging power is not a record (45 W), but not as ridiculous as that of its compact brother. A wireless analog is present. The permanent memory can be 256 or 512 GB, depending on the configuration.
With photo capabilities, everything is not so simple. There is no doubt that evening photos will be detailed, but the quality of photo content and video content is still lower than that of camera phones. The 50-megapixel ISOCELL GN3 main photo module, 10-megapixel telephoto lens with three-fold zoom have hybrid stabilization, but they have many more technologically advanced and fresh alternatives, and the 12-megapixel wide-angle lens is not surprising. But the stereo speakers are excellent. They are loud, produce rich and voluminous sound. Of course, there is NFC contactless payment, and support for 5G networks, and eSIM, but the entire set of advantages of the phablet does not offset its high price and excessive similarity to its predecessors. Thus, although the device will be in demand, it will still not achieve outstanding sales.
