TECLAST T50 2023 Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Teclast T50 2023 Overview
Teclast T50 2023 - beauty accessible to everyone
The Chinese company Teclast has managed to establish itself as an excellent manufacturer of inexpensive tablets and laptops. However, the developer is still trying to go beyond the low price segment, pleasing its fans with more expensive, but also more functional, beautiful devices. Teclast T50 2023 welcomes you with a pretty good package. The sturdy cardboard box was able to withstand all the difficulties of delivery and, despite the jams and other problems, kept the tablet and accessories in perfect condition. Inside it, in addition to the hero of the review there was a USB Type-C cable, a 20W charger, a paper clip for the SIM card tray. There is already a protective film on the display. The standard set lacks a protective cover, but the buyer can order a flip cover separately. The front surface of the case is made of matte plastic, coating is similar to a soft touch. The main part is made of translucent silicone, which fits snugly around the tablet and definitely increases its resistance to scratches, chips and even falls. All components are made with high quality, which can not fail to please. Wired headphones are not included, but there is no appropriate connector for them. Thus, within the price range the Teclast T50 2023 package can be considered more than good.
The design of the novelty is even more pleasing. The body is mostly made of metal, which has a favorable effect on its durability, its beauty, and the tactile sensation of using the device. In addition, the device has a small thickness, a reasonable weight, it is comfortable and pleasant to hold it in your hands. The top and bottom edges contain cutouts for speakers, and on top there is also a tray for SIM cards. On the left side are the power and volume buttons, the USB Type-C port and the microphone hole. The frame of the screen was 9.5mm, which is not much for a low-to-mid price category tablet. In the end, the appearance of Teclast T50 2023 leaves a positive impression.
Perhaps the main component of any modern tablet is its screen. The display installed in Teclast T50 2023 did not save money. High-quality IPS-matrix has a diagonal of 11 inches and a resolution of 2000x1200 pixels, so the clarity of the picture does not cause problems. There is a light sensor and, as a consequence, and auto brightness, which is a definite plus. Brightness levels change correctly and fairly smoothly, but there is some lag. Indoors it is very comfortable to work with the device, the threshold of minimum brightness is comfortable for a long interaction. Of course, the direct rays of the sun seriously affect the visibility of the picture. AMOLED panel would be preferable, but its use would have a negative impact on the price tag of the tablet. Therefore, it is recommended to look for shade, otherwise it is not so easy to see the image. The responsiveness of the touch panel is excellent, it responds instantly to touch without any errors. No phantom touches or any problems with multitouch were detected. Thus the display leaves more than positive emotions.
The technical characteristics of Teclast T50 2023 are the popular processor UNISOC Tiger T616, 8 GB of RAM and a video card Mali G57-MC2. This bundle is increasingly common in inexpensive tablets and is the guarantor of a good performance interface Android 12, fast application launching. In normal life, if there are slowness and delays in the work of the device, they are rare and absolutely not critical. Let's look at the results of the chipset in synthetic tests, as well as in popular games.
The famous AnTuTu benchmark version 10.0.1 shows the result of 288089 points. You can see more detailed statistics in the above screenshots.
Benchmark GeekBench estimated the performance of the processor at 438 points in the single-core test and 1,583 points in the multi-core test.
The CPU Throttling Test is also able to evaluate the stability of the CPU. So, in a 30-minute test with 100 threads we get a result of 163.09 GIPS without trotting and, as a consequence, lowering CPU frequencies.
As far as games are concerned, it was not without testing the people's PUBG Mobile. The project has been attracting millions of players for years. Despite not the most technologically advanced graphics, the title is able to seriously load any processor thanks to the increased range of rendering objects. At medium graphics presets decrease FPU or freezes were not observed, the game was more than comfortable.
With Call Of Duty the situation is slightly worse. This is a more dynamic shooter that requires increased reaction from the player. It is recommended to set low graphics settings at high freemrate settings, as in intense battles with the participation of 4-5+ players is still observed not quite pleasant, though not frequent drops FPS.
The most resource-intensive game launched on the device was Genshin Impact. To this day this project is the most beautiful and elaborated. The open world with a lot of small details is as beautiful as in many big AAA games on PC and game consoles. Unfortunately, you will not be able to admire all the beauties on Teclast T50 2023, because Genshin Impact more or less smoothly operates only on a hybrid of minimum and low graphics presets. The framerate is not high, about 20-25 frames per second, but it is quite possible to immerse yourself in the gameplay. It is recommended to set the freemrate limit of 45 FPS in the settings. For some reason, in this case the game functions more smoothly and stably.
Four speakers are responsible for the stereo sound. Maximum volume is close to 90dB, but distortion begins to be heard, a bonus to which is an excess of mid-range frequencies. It is recommended to reduce the volume level by 4-5 decks (up to 80-83dB), then the sound is more balanced, small artefacts completely disappear. Wireless headphones Mifo O5 II Gen 2 sound somewhat easier than with the smartphone Realme GT2. The problem is the lack of AptX codec, low and high frequencies are simpler by the end. The bass is sometimes lightweight, the cymbals lack airiness. However, you can only hear the difference by direct comparison.
Indoor GPS test
GPS test in the open area
The navigation test was conducted with the GPS Tester program. Below you can see the results of both GPS and GLONASS testing indoors and outdoors. The final values are not bad, the errors are small, and the device can be quite used as a replacement for a GPS navigator.
The ability to install SIM cards - this is a great extension of the functionality of the gadget. To test the quality of communication used SIM-cards operators MTS and Rostelecom. Any tangible difference with the smartphones Realme GT2 and OnePlus 9RT was not found. Speech transmission was about the same level of quality, the interlocutor did not complain about voice distortion and speech artifacts. When using Teclast T50 2023 as a substitute for the phone, you should understand that it does not have a separate speech speaker, so your conversation is 100% likely to hear all the people around you. Even at minimum volume. 4G-Internet was slightly inferior to the above smartphones, switching to 2G and 3G was more frequent. Wi-Fi reception is decent, 2-3 walls and 7-8 meters from the source did not interfere with the Internet on the device.
The tablet's battery life was tested in PCMark Benchmark for Android (PCMark Work 2.0 Battery Life Test), where Teclast T50 2023 scored 11 hours and 43 minutes. This is not a bad result for a gadget with a large 11-inch IPS display and a 7500mAh battery. In everyday life, you can count on about a day of work with the device at five hours of active screen time. As for the battery charging time from 1 to 100%, it was about 3.5 hours.
The main 20-megapixel camera is noticeably better than analogues in inexpensive tablets, although its photo capabilities do not reach the level of modern photo modules in smartphones. It is quite possible to get a nice picture of the day. Detail shots are decent, often photos are pleased with the natural transfer of colors. But with the exposure you often have to work manually, the frames can be either too dark, or overexposed. For a full evening shooting Teclast T50 2023 is no longer suitable.
Let's list the main advantages and disadvantages of Teclast T50 2023.
Pros:
- Thoughtful design of the slim metal body;
- Clear and rich picture of 11-inch high resolution IPS-screen;
- The current in terms of performance and energy efficiency of the processor UNISOC Tiger T616 and 8GB of RAM;
- A loud stereo sound (4 speakers, up to 89-90dB);
- 128GB ROM expandable;
- dual SIM-card support;
- good reception;
- no problems with GPS;
- fast charging (20W);
- good main and front cameras;
- impressive battery life;
- reasonable price.
Cons:
- No jack for wired headphones;
- The lack of a case in the kit;

Thus, Teclast T50 2023 will be a reliable assistant and will allow you to get a lot of positive emotions. Of course, an inexpensive tablet will not be able to truly replace a flagship smartphone or a full laptop, but its extensive functionality, good performance and excellent battery life will definitely make the life of the buyer easier.
