UMIDIGI A15 Pro 5G Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
UMIDIGI A15 Pro 5G Overview
UMIDIGI A15 Pro 5G - work according to a proven formula
The Chinese company Umidigi today is far from being an industry leader, so the corporation is not ready to experiment and take any serious risks. That is why the new products it produces rarely surprise you with their delights in design, technical characteristics or other parameters. However, if we consider the hero of today’s review, it is not difficult to notice the absence of critical disadvantages in it, and the price is reasonable for the functionality provided.
The appearance of the device is strict and quite stylish. Neatly rounded corners of the body made of glass and high-quality polycarbonate, smooth edging, small display frames, a convenient side-mounted fingerprint scanner, beautiful colors of the rear panels and an interesting triple camera unit with two LED flashes allow the phone not to get lost among other competitors in the price category. The 6.7-inch AMOLED screen has FullHD+ resolution, a 120-Hz image refresh rate and a brightness reserve approaching 1500 nits. The resulting image remains visible even in direct sunlight; the saturation, contrast and realism of colors are not satisfactory.
The MediaTek Dimensity 900 processor (12GB of RAM, Mali G68MC4 video adapter) is not much different from its successors in the form of the 1080th and 7050th chips. Support for 5G networks, performance of more than 500 thousand AnTuTu benchmark points and good energy efficiency make the CPU an excellent choice for almost any user. Even gamers won't be bored, as resource-intensive games like Honkai: Star Rail run on medium graphics presets. A 5000 mAh battery lasts for one and a half to two days, and the manufacturer has not forgotten fast wired charging with a power of 66W. The internal storage capacity of 256GB doesn’t seem small either, so you shouldn’t be upset about the lack of a slot for MicroSD cards.
The main photo modules lack optical stabilization, but still evoke positive emotions. The 108-megapixel sensor from Samsung behaves decently in daytime lighting conditions, and evening shots do not turn into a bunch of noise. The 50-megapixel wide-angle lens is noticeably better than its opponents, and the 8-megapixel macro camera is also impressive in quality. The device received stereo speakers, NFC contactless payments, and optimized Android 13. Thus, a balanced and up-to-date gadget can be recommended for purchase.
