UMIDIGI A15T Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
UMIDIGI A15T Overview
UMIDIGI A15T - creating chances for success
The line of smartphones from the Chinese company Umidigi with the A15 index turned out to be controversial, which even fans of the manufacturer cannot deny. The outdated design of the devices and mediocre technical characteristics did not evoke positive emotions among the audience. However, the hero of today's review will change the situation somewhat. It did not become more beautiful, but it significantly increased its performance.
The appearance of the new product is not its strong point. The noticeable display bezels and the 16-megapixel selfie camera form factor straight out of 2019 cannot be considered impressive exterior elements. The only things that can be praised are the convenient side fingerprint scanner, the original block of three photo modules and the matte plastic of the rear panel. The 6.7-inch IPS display is quite basic. A resolution of 1650x720 pixels is not enough for good image clarity at the diagonal used. The standard picture refresh rate of 60 hertz and the low maximum brightness margin of 500 nits do not add any attractiveness to the IPS panel.
There are far fewer complaints about the MediaTek Helio G95 processor. This chipset, coupled with 8GB of RAM and the Mali G76MP4 video accelerator, scores over 350 thousand points in the AnTuTu benchmark and looks great within the price range of the phablet. It's even possible to try out resource-intensive modern games like Honkai: Star Rail with low graphics presets. There are no problems with autonomy; both the 5000 mAh battery and the energy-efficient screen play their role in achieving 9-10 hours of active screen time. It’s a pity that the fast charging power is limited to 18W; the device will have to stay at the outlet for a long time. The permanent memory size of 128GB can always be expanded with MicroSD cards, so you don’t have to worry about the lack of internal storage capacity.
It's hardly reasonable to shower the 8-megapixel wide-angle module and 5-megapixel macro camera with compliments, but the 64-megapixel main sensor is capable of more than shooting documents. In daylight, the user can easily create a detailed frame with a minimum of noise and other artifacts. In the evening, even more expensive devices are not pleased with the quality of photography. There is no stereo sound, one speaker is not particularly loud, it is not recommended to use it for listening. NFC contactless payments add to the number of advantages of the phone, which is ready for good sales thanks to the CPU, battery and affordable price.
