UMIDIGI G3 Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
UMIDIGI G3 Overview
UMIDIGI G3 - durable, stylish and cheap
A significant part of the income of the Chinese company Umidigi is the proceeds from the sale of low-cost phones. The audience of such devices is not particularly whimsical, but over time, such users increasingly want to get decent functionality, excellent autonomy, and much more. The hero of today's review, of course, will not be able to satisfy the needs of the most sophisticated buyers, but he will find his fans.
The design is commendable. The positive features of the exterior were bright and interesting colors of the cases, a matte ergonomic texture, a dual camera, a side fingerprint scanner. Surprisingly, the thickness and bezels of the screen do not disappoint. But the IPS-panel itself is nothing to surprise. This is a rather mediocre HD+ display in terms of contrast and brightness levels. Working with a smartphone indoors is comfortable, but on the street, and even in direct sunlight, it is problematic to consider anything.
Specifications are not amazing. The MediaTek Helio A22 processor is built on the basis of outdated four cores, which cope with noticeable difficulties even with the Android 13 interface. 4GB of RAM, the PowerVR GE8300 video chip do not turn the chipset into something outstanding for games. Of course, you can try out not the most modern Call Of Duty or PUBG, such projects will be playable on minimal graphic presets, but you simply won’t be able to launch something more demanding. The size of the permanent memory was 64GB, which is not bad for an inexpensive device. There is also a slot for a microSD card.
13- and 2-megapixel photomodules of a low-budget phablet do not imply getting great photos, because sometimes even analogues in the middle price segment cannot create such. However, sensors can be considered as a working tool for capturing text, static objects in ideal lighting. One speaker does not impress with sound volume or its elaboration, but it is possible to listen to wired headphones. But contactless payments bypassed the novelty, there is no NFC module. But let's end on a good note. A 5150mAh battery will help you forget about the location of the outlet for one and a half to two days. Thus, if you are looking for an autonomous mobile assistant without obvious flaws and at a modest price, then this purchase will not upset you.
