UMiDIGI A7 Pro - a lot of memory, little use

There are not so many experienced Android users who are amazingly versed in the technical specifications of smartphones, so manufacturers have every chance to sell this or that model only thanks to the huge internal storage or the number of cameras, without emphasizing the backwardness of other parameters. Unfortunately, the hero of today's review has become a clear example of such a situation.

The design of the device is perhaps one of its main advantages. The IPS panel used with a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels is also not bad. There is essentially no oleophobic coating, but the brightness and contrast of the picture are at a good level.

Performance upsets. The Mediatek Helio P23 processor is the chip that is better not to use even on cheap phones. Low energy efficiency and modest power, even coupled with 4GB of RAM and a MaliG71 MP2 video adapter, lead to frankly poor performance of demanding games even with minimal graphics settings. But you can store applications, as well as music and video, on 128GB ROM and MicroSD cards . But will the buyer need this?

The main 16- (a couple of modules), 5- megapixel (also a duo of sensors) cameras look interesting "on paper", but in reality they cope mediocre with evening shooting. The 16-megapixel front camera deserves the same description. But the 4150mAh battery will allow a couple of days to actively use the gadget without the need for recharging. Of the additional advantages, we note Android Q , of the shortcomings - the absence of contactless payments (NFC). As a result, the resulting device does not stand out against the background of numerous opponents and does not deserve serious attention.
