Ulefone Armor 26 Ultra Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Ulefone Armor 26 Ultra Overview
Ulefone Armor 26 Ultra - heavy artillery
The Chinese company Ulefone never ceases to amaze its fans with new smartphones. Now it’s the turn to present the manufacturer’s updated flagship devices. The hero of today's review combines excellent performance for the price segment, decent photo capabilities, and many other competitive advantages. Of course, there were some shortcomings, but you can safely turn a blind eye to many of them.
The appearance of the new product is not ideal due to protection from moisture and dust according to IP68 standards and the presence of a huge 15600 mAh battery. Autonomy of 4-5 days of active work with a mobile assistant (the battery also supports fast charging at 120W) led to an increase in the weight of the candy bar and its thickness. They try to distract from ergonomic problems with a beautiful block of four photomodules, in the center of which there is a huge cutout for a mono speaker, a stylish rear panel texture, and excellent build quality. The 6.78-inch IPS display causes controversial emotions. The brightness reserve barely exceeds 600 nits; direct rays of the sun seriously affect the visibility of the content being played. AMOLED panels are much better in this regard. It's hard not to notice the wide bezels of the screen. With other parameters the situation is different. There is a resolution of 2460x1080 pixels, a current 120-Hz picture refresh rate, and natural color reproduction.
The technical characteristics were the MediaTek Dimensity 8020 processor, 12GB of RAM and the Mali G77MC9 graphics accelerator. This is not a top-end, but quite productive combination that can easily cope with the Android 13 interface and any resource-intensive task. Even demanding games like Genshin Impact or Wreckfest will be no exception, even if the graphics settings will have to be limited to medium-high presets. Of course, the phablet doesn’t save on internal memory either. In addition to the impressive 512GB of ROM, there is also a separate slot for MicroSD cards.
The photographic possibilities are not disappointing either. Let's start with the auxiliary sensors. A 64-megapixel night vision lens, a 50-megapixel wide-angle module and even an 8-megapixel telephoto lens (3x Zoom) can significantly expand the range of shooting scenarios. And the stunning 200-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL HP3, even without optical stabilization, copes with capturing both moving objects and evening landscapes. There is only one speaker, but what a speaker! The maximum volume of 121 dB will make you forget about inexpensive BlueTooth speakers. Support for NFC contactless payments and an affordable price tag only enhance the attractiveness of the device. There is also a variation of the device with a walkie-talkie (Walkie Talkie). Perhaps the only thing missing from the list is wireless charging, but even without it the unit can count on excellent sales.
