Ulefone Armor 27 Pro Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Ulefone Armor 27 Pro Overview
Ulefone Armor 27 Pro - durable, technological, but not high-performance
The Chinese company Ulefone, although quite famous, is still very far from the industry leaders. Hence the limited budget, which does not allow the corporation to make truly flagship smartphones. However, this fact does not prevent us from creating first-class phones in the mid-price segment. The hero of today’s review can easily be classified into this category of devices, although it has a number of shortcomings.
The design of a phablet with water protection according to IP68 standards can hardly be considered excellent, but it has many advantages. Thus, the 32-megapixel selfie camera has a modern form factor, the block of three photo modules on the rear rubberized panel looks impressive, and the side fingerprint scanner is also convenient. But the display frames are wide, and the overall dimensions of the candy bar are impressive. It is almost impossible to use it with one hand. The 6.78-inch IPS panel has a brightness of 650 nits, which is noticeably lower than that of its AMOLED counterparts. However, in direct sunlight, partial visibility of the picture is preserved, and other parameters such as FullHD+ resolution, 120 Hz image refresh rate and a minimum of errors in color reproduction allow us to positively evaluate the IPS screen.
The technical specifications are good, but not exciting. The MediaTek Dimensity 6300 CPU, 12GB of RAM and the Mali G57MC2 video adapter support 5G networks and score around 400 thousand points in the AnTuTu benchmark. This kind of performance is enough to make Android 14 responsive, but it will definitely not be enough for sophisticated gamers. In truly resource-intensive games like Honkai: Star Rail and Zenless Zone Zero, you will have to set low graphics settings to achieve a stable and smooth framerate. But the situation with autonomy is excellent, because the 10600 mAh battery easily functions for 2-3 full days. There is both wired (33W) and wireless charging (30W). 256GB of permanent memory is allocated, and there is also a slot for MicroSD cards.
Optical stabilization was not included in the main cameras, but even without it, the main 50-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL GN1 sensor, the same 50-megapixel wide-angle lens and a 64-megapixel night vision camera cover an impressive number of shooting scenarios. Even the chance of creating a detailed evening shot without a lot of noise cannot be considered minimal. There is no stereo sound, but the only speaker pleasantly surprises with its volume and balanced frequency response. Contactless NFC payments and an affordable price tag add to the list of advantages of the device. As a result, the gadget can be recommended to every fan of secure mobile assistants, for whom gaming applications are not of paramount importance.
