Ulefone Armor 28 Pro Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Ulefone Armor 28 Pro Overview
Ulefone Armor 28 Pro - decreased performance, increased attractiveness?
The Chinese company Ulefone has pleased its fans with full-fledged flagship smartphones in the Armor line this year. However, along with improved functionality, as well as a top-end CPU, the new products also received a completely inhumane price tag. The manufacturer decided to rectify the situation by releasing the hero of today's review, which differs from its expensive predecessors exclusively in its chipset. How correct is this decision on the part of the developer?
The appearance of the device has remained unchanged. Someone will like the brutality of the monoblock with moisture protection according to IP68 standards, and someone will criticize the impressive thickness of the gadget and the width of the display frames. Among the positive aspects that every fan of mobile electronics will approve of, we will highlight the beautiful design of the camera block, the presence of an additional 1.04-inch AMOLED screen (displaying notifications, time, distance traveled and other statistics), carbon texture of the back panel, a convenient fingerprint scanner on the side. The 6.67-inch AMOLED panel received a standard resolution for the diagonal of 2460x1080 pixels, but pleases with a good peak brightness of 2200 nits, an increased refresh rate of 120 Hz, and excellent color rendition.
The technical characteristics include the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor, 16 GB of RAM and the Mali G615MC2 video core. Of course, it is difficult not to notice the differences from the 9300+ chip. The results in benchmarks like AnTuTu have dropped by 3 times, applications launch more slowly, but in reality everything is not so bad. The Android 15 interface is smooth, and all games will be available to the buyer, however, at medium graphics settings. Autonomy has even increased due to the energy efficiency of the bundle. The 10600 mAh battery usually lasts for three days, there is still both a wired charger at 120 W and its wireless counterpart at 50 W. There is no saving on the size of the ROM. 512 GB of internal storage can always be expanded with MicroSD cards.
The set of cameras is the same. The large main 50-megapixel Sony IMX989 sensor, even without optical stabilization, reliably produces detailed photos without artifacts even in frankly mediocre lighting. The wide-angle Samsung JN1 sensor at 50 MP also does not fail in most cases. But the 64-megapixel night vision module would be better replaced with a telephoto lens, because not everyone needs it. A loud speaker with a uniform frequency response, NFC contactless payments and 5G support complete the portrait of one of the most interesting IP68 devices in the price segment.
