Ulefone Armor 28 Ultra Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Ulefone Armor 28 Ultra Overview
Ulefone Armor 28 Ultra - a real rugged flagship
The Chinese company Ulefone is not one of the most successful and financially secure smartphone developers, but it is trying to reach ever greater heights in the market. Thus, the manufacturer decided to release a full-fledged flagship phone of the highest price category, distinguished by advanced technical characteristics. But will such a device be popular? Let's try to figure it out.
The appearance of the new product is original and interesting, but it is not without serious drawbacks. The main ones are the dimensions and weight of the candy bar, but they are easily justified by the huge battery and increased strength, as well as moisture protection according to IP68 standards. The advantages include an incredibly beautiful combination of an additional display (displaying time, notifications, working with the camera and other functions) and a block of photo modules, a stylish texture of the back panel, a convenient side fingerprint scanner. But the frames of the 6.67-inch AMOLED panel could be more modest. The screen itself has an optimal FullHD+ resolution for the diagonal, an excellent brightness reserve of 2200 nits, an oleophobic layer and natural color rendition. But at the same time, they did not save on the increased refresh rate of the picture (120 Hz).
But where there is definitely no saving, it is in the performance of the communication of the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ CPU, 16 GB of RAM and the Mali Immortalis-G720 MC12 video adapter. We have not yet seen more than two million points in the AnTuTu benchmark in this kind of devices. Even the well-known resource-intensive Fortnite and Genshin Impact work without any lags at maximum graphic presets. At the same time, heating is not considered significant thanks to a well-thought-out cooling system, the energy efficiency of the processor also does not cause complaints. The user received about 3-4 days of active use of the mobile assistant from the huge 10600 mAh battery. In addition to the really fast wired charging at 120 W, there is also its wireless counterpart at 50 W. The permanent memory is allocated 512 GB, which can also be expanded with MicroSD cards.
The photo capabilities are not so impressive. The main (Sony IMX989) and wide-angle (ISOCELL JN1) 50-megapixel photo sensors are ready to take high-quality shots even in the evening, but due to the lack of optical stabilization, some of the pictures will be spoiled by noise and blur. But they are complemented by a 64-megapixel monochrome night vision module. Thus, a certain percentage of the audience will find the gadget useful as a professional tool. NFC contactless payments, 5G support, the ability to connect a proprietary microscope and endoscope, as well as a reasonable price tag once again emphasize the potential success of the device. It's all about a well-designed advertising campaign.
