Ulefone Armor 29 Pro Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Ulefone Armor 29 Pro Overview
Ulefone Armor 29 Pro - a great, but such a tough case
The Chinese company Ulefone continues to develop a range of brutal smartphones with increased strength and moisture protection according to IP68 standards. The hero of today's review has, as it seems, a simply huge list of advantages. For its price segment, it is beautiful, productive and autonomous. However, one noticeable minus partially covers all the positive aspects.
The appearance of the new product can hardly be considered unsuccessful, but the impressions of the exterior are significantly spoiled by the dimensions of the monoblock. The use of a huge 21200 mAh battery, made using the old Li-Pol technology, brought the thickness of the rubberized case to more than three centimeters, and the weight exceeded 600 grams. The phone is clearly not for girls. But an additional 1.04-inch AMOLED screen, an original camera block, a side fingerprint scanner, an LED panel in the role of a camping flashlight leave positive emotions. The 6.67-inch AMOLED panel does not impress with its image clarity, because the resolution is a standard 2400x1080 pixels. But the display has a lot of aces up its sleeve, like a refresh rate of 120 Hz, a high-quality oleophobic layer, and a peak brightness of 2200 nits.
The technical characteristics include a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 processor, 16 GB of RAM, and a Mali G615MC2 video core. This is a well-balanced solution, scoring about 700,000 points in the AnTuTu benchmark. You can not only enjoy the responsiveness of the Android 15 interface, but also the performance of literally all existing applications and games. However, you can rather count on low-medium graphic presets in the resource-intensive Genshin Impact or similar projects. The previously mentioned battery will provide about 6-7 days of operation of the gadget. The excellent power of wired charging at 120W, unfortunately, does not extend to the wireless version (10W). The permanent memory is 512 GB with a slot for MicroSD cards.
In terms of photo capabilities, the unit is better than most of its competitors. The main 50-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL GN1 module, although it did not receive hybrid or optical stabilization, copes even with evening shots if they are not full of moving objects. The wide-angle lens of the same 50 MP is also good, but instead of a 64-megapixel night vision sensor, I would like to see a telephoto lens. The stereo speakers are loud, the sound will not disappoint with a lack of bass or volume. Contactless payments NFC, support for 5G networks, a gyroscope add to the list of advantages. As a result, we have a wonderful device for its class, which, however, will not suit everyone.
