Ulefone Armor X10 Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Ulefone Armor X10 Overview
Ulefone Armor X10 - point and at the same time insufficient improvements
Armor-line of protected smartphones from the Chinese company Ulefon has long been popular with the audience, although few real bestsellers have appeared in it. However, gradually the manufacturer began to actually copy his own products, slightly changing its appearance. Unfortunately, the developer continues to develop similar trends to this day. So, the hero of today's review is only one iota superior to his predecessor.
The design of the novelty evokes rather negative emotions. The phone is not so inexpensive as to deprive it of a fingerprint sensor, while the display bezels refer us to Android smartphones five years ago. To the successful features of the exterior, it is possible to attribute only the elements stylized to the metal and the block of the double camera. The 5.45-inch IPS-screen has sufficient HD + resolution for the diagonal, but its brightness and contrast parameters are not excellent. Direct rays of the sun completely deprive the reproduced picture of even partial visibility.
In terms of technical characteristics, everything is also bad. There was even a downgrade in the processor part. So, the eight-core Mediatek Helio A25 was replaced by the quad-core A22 , which, even with 4GB of RAM and a PowerVR GE8300 video adapter, is unable to cope with more or less modern games. One can feel the unhurriedness of the device in everyday tasks. So, even not the most resource-intensive applications like messengers start with a delay. On the other hand, a low-performance chipset increases the autonomy of the gadget. The battery that has grown to a capacity of 5180mAh helps to get about 10-12 hours of active screen time, charging with a power of 10W reduces the stay at the outlet to 150 minutes. The volume of ROM is modest by today's standards, but 32GB is always possible to expand with MicroSD cards.
13- and 2-megapixel photo modules will not be able to realize all the dreams of photographers, their use should be limited to capturing text. Landscapes or portraits, even during the day, will disappoint with noise and unnatural colors. Surprisingly, with all the above simplifications, the Android smartphone surprises with the presence of contactless NFC payments, a headphone jack, a USB Type-C port and, of course, protection against dust and moisture according to IP68 standards. However, these advantages are not able to recoup the abundance of disadvantages and the inflated price tag.
