Ulefone Armor X13 Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Ulefone Armor X13 Overview
Ulefone Armor X13 - cheap and durable device for lovers of the night
Inexpensive smartphones with full protection against dust and moisture according to IP68 standards are becoming more and more common. The processor and other components are getting cheaper, competition in the market is growing, so you can buy a device with increased durability for more than reasonable money. The hero of today's review just belongs to the category of devices mentioned above, which do not set performance records, but are ready to help out in a difficult situation.
The appearance of the novelty is not spared from the shortcomings of IP68 smartphones available at a price tag. Large display frames, excessive dimensions of the rubberized case, poor ergonomics - all of the above are in place, but they try to decorate the exterior with an interesting block of two cameras, and the original texture of the back panel, and a side fingerprint sensor, and nice-looking color schemes of monoblocks. The 6.52-inch IPS display can serve as a reason for a minor upset. The problem is not in the reserve of brightness or realism in color reproduction, because in these parameters the IPS panel is no worse than those of opponents. The point is the low resolution of 1600x720 pixels, which makes it possible to see individual pixels with the naked eye.
The technical specifications are sufficient for the smooth operation of the Android 13 interface. The MediaTek Helio G36 CPU with 6GB of RAM is quite energy efficient, thanks to which the 6320 mAh battery will require searching for an outlet only once every couple of days. Of course, there is no need to talk about wide gaming opportunities. 2D projects operate with a stable framerate, fans of 3D games will have to be content with not too resource-intensive World Of Tanks Blitz and PUBG Mobile. There is not much permanent memory by today's standards (64GB), so you need to use MicroSD cards. The battery also has a serious disadvantage - charging power of 10W, which is why it gains full capacity for more than 3-4 hours.
Surprisingly, the photo capabilities of the phablet in question do not upset. The 24-megapixel night monochrome photomodule will definitely find its fan, the main 50-megapixel sensor from Samsung (JN1) bypasses budget 13-megapixel counterparts in terms of detail and color accuracy. However, the module is still mediocre at night shooting. There is no stereo sound, the volume of one speaker is enough to hear the notification. Listening to music is not particularly comfortable due to the lack of low frequencies. Of the competitive advantages, we note NFC contactless payments. Thus, the unit turned out to be functional, long-playing and protected, and the low-performance chipset is easy to forgive because of the modest price of the phone.
