Ulefone Armor X16 Pro Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Ulefone Armor X16 Pro Overview
Ulefone Armor X16 Pro - increasing the probability of success
Of course, the next new product from the Chinese company Ulefone could not do without a brother with the Pro index. The well-known manufacturer of smartphones with moisture protection has again succumbed to temptation, but this time the difference between the two models is impressive. Let's find out how the hero of today's review surpasses its predecessor.
There are no changes in the design of the device. As is standard for inexpensive phones protected from dust and moisture (IP68 standard), we see both the enormous weight of the case and its huge dimensions, which negatively affect ergonomics. But there are also positive aspects. These include a barely noticeable eye of the 16-megapixel selfie camera, a side fingerprint sensor, an interesting mesh texture of the back panel, a beautiful block of cameras. But the 6.56-inch IPS screen could be better. The clarity of the content is mediocre at a resolution of 1640x720 pixels, individual pixels are sometimes visible to the naked eye. The brightness reserve of about 500 nits is also rather disappointing, because in direct sunlight you can hardly see anything. But the color rendition is natural, the image smoothness is high due to the refresh rate of 120 Hz.
The technical characteristics include the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, 8 GB of RAM and the Mali G57-MC2 video core. The bundle is quite functional for a device at the turn of the lower and middle price segments, it scores almost 400 thousand points in the AnTuTu test and removes most of the lags from the Android 15 interface. But with games, everything is not so rosy. Really resource-intensive projects will be available with low-medium graphics settings, and somewhere the presets will have to be cut even more. The battery capacity is still 10360 mAh, which increases the battery life to 4-5 days without the need to look for outlets. Fast charging has a power of 33 W, which is still not enough for such a battery. ROM is allocated 256 GB, there is a slot for MicroSD cards.
Photo capabilities have advanced. The night vision sensor is now 25-megapixel, but the macro module is still 2-megapixel and practically useless. The main 64-megapixel photo module Sony IMX682, although venerable, but even without optical stabilization guarantees excellent daytime shots without a drop in detail. There is a chance to get pleasing evening shots. The sound of the only speaker is at the same level. It is loud, but not particularly smooth. Among other advantages, we highlight support for contactless payment NFC and 5G networks. As a result, we have a durable, quite stylish and balanced device for fans of IP68 devices.
