Ulefone Armor X31 Pro Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Ulefone Armor X31 Pro Overview
Ulefone Armor X31 Pro - extraordinary durability
The Chinese company Ulefone suddenly remembered its line of inexpensive smartphones with protection from dust and moisture according to IP68 standards. The hero of today's review did not become its most affordable representative, but it definitely stands out among the already released phones both in design and functionality.
As noted earlier, the appearance of the new product turned out to be extraordinary. The original spiral texture of the rear rubberized panel is harmoniously combined with inserts of green or orange colors, an attractive and beautiful block of photo modules, and a side fingerprint scanner, and a 16-megapixel selfie camera located at the top of the screen add attractiveness. But the huge display frames and considerable thickness of the case will already be sent to the list of exterior shortcomings. The 6.56-inch IPS screen has a number of strengths and weaknesses. The first ones include excellent image smoothness at a 120 Hz refresh rate, its realistic color rendition, the second ones include a modest HD+ resolution and a low peak brightness of 600 nits. As a result, the image is natural, smooth, but not too clear and bright.
The technical characteristics are the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 CPU with 5G network support, 8 GB of RAM and the Mali G57MC2 graphics adapter. The bundle is more than competitive within the price category. Its performance is very close to the threshold of 400 thousand points in the AnTuTu test, which means good performance of the Android 14 interface and the ability to run many resource-intensive games. Even Zenless Zone Zero and Fortnite will be playable, but the graphics presets will have to be set to the minimum level. The autonomy, for which the 6050 mAh battery is responsible, is unlikely to be criticized. The capacity is not a record, but it will be enough for a couple of days of active use of the mobile assistant. But the charging power is low, only 18W. 256 GB of permanent memory is allocated, it is allowed to expand it with MicroSD cards in a separate slot.
The photo capabilities of the phablet are interesting. The main 64-megapixel Sony IMX682 lacks optical stabilization, but here you need to know that this sensor was once used even in flagships and sub-flagships. It can shoot daytime with excellent detail, there is even a chance of creating high-quality evening shots. The 25-megapixel night vision lens and 2-megapixel macro camera will be used much less often, but some buyers will clearly need them. Stereo sound is not provided, but for music lovers, a jack for wired headphones is left. NFC contactless payments complete the list of advantages of a balanced and definitely interesting device.
