Ulefone Note 22 Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Ulefone Note 22 Overview
Ulefone Note 22 - A Museum Piece
Creating an extremely low-cost smartphone is a difficult process in the current economic climate. The pursuit of cost reduction can sometimes lead to tragic consequences. And today's review subject is a clear example of how far a manufacturer will go in their quest to save money.
The new device's appearance is seriously outdated. The incredibly large top and bottom bezels look simply ridiculous in 2026. There's no fingerprint scanner, and the plastic case, without any water resistance, is downright cheap. The only positive feature worth highlighting is the stylish camera module. The 5-inch IPS panel has a modest resolution of 854x480 pixels. Small fonts appear blurry, there's no increased refresh rate or improved image smoothness, and peak brightness only reaches 400 nits. Direct sunlight will force the user to seek shade.
The technical specifications include a UNISOC T7100 (T603) chipset, 3GB of RAM, and a PowerVR GE8322 graphics card. The octa-core processor handles the simplified Android 16 Go interface well, but you'll have to forget about playing any modern games. Even older 3D games like PUBG Mobile will require a noticeable reduction in graphics settings. Expecting good battery life is also out of the question, as the 3000mAh battery barely provides 4-5 hours of screen time. Charging is limited to a paltry 5W. The prohibitively small 32GB of storage can at least be expanded with a microSD card.
The 2-megapixel main sensor (the others are dummy modules) and the 0.3-megapixel front camera are barely suitable for video calls, let alone artistic photography. It's difficult to discern anything beyond the noise and blur. There's no stereo sound, but at least there's a headphone jack. Contactless payments (NFC) are completely absent from the device. Ultimately, we have a very simple and simply uninteresting device with numerous flaws, which can't even live up to its low asking price.
