Vernee T3 Pro Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Vernee T3 Pro Overview
Vernee T3 Pro is the king of the segment?
A few years ago, the smartphone seemed to be a greeting from a distant future. It was very difficult to imagine combining a phone, a camera, an MP3 player, a graphic tablet and almost a full-fledged mobile computer into one device, and touch displays caused real delight and surprise. However, times are changing, and today, even for a small amount of money, it is quite realistic to get a reliable and functional mobile assistant, which is almost devoid of flaws. That is what Vernee T3 Pro is, providing an amazing price-performance ratio.
The hero of this review meets the buyer with a fairly rich bundle , usually not typical of the representatives of the most affordable price segment. In addition to the microUSB cable in a tight cardboard box with a list of all the characteristics of the device, the user will find a 5V 1A charger for European sockets, a high-quality silicone bumper cover, an instruction manual and a protective film already glued to the display.
The appearance of the smartphone also exceeds expectations . Let the back panel and is made of polycarbonate, the manufacturer took care of its original design. The intersection of three straight lines that divide the cover area into areas with different graphic patterns, a double camera and a fingerprint scanner form the memory-like appearance of the device, from which you don’t want to look away.
Finally, a 5.5-inch screen with an 18: 9 aspect ratio makes you fall in love with your smartphone . Fully frameless IPS-display is not called, but previously phones with similar dimensions could boast only 5-inch panels. Although the device surveyed is inexpensive, the developer did not stint on the GFF screen , which was virtually devoid of an air gap between the glass and the sensor. Image resolution of 1440x720 pixels does not split into individual pixels, does not upset the brightness and contrast. If you do not directly compare the screen with representatives of more expensive price categories, then it is difficult to express claims to it. However, in reality, the white balance goes too far towards warmth and even yellowness, and at extreme tilt angles, the black color becomes much less contrast, almost gray. In the dark, the glow effect also appears, but with normal use of the gadget, it is not observed. Light and proximity sensors are present and work correctly in most cases. Sometimes auto-brightness incorrectly determines the degree of illumination and is too high, however, the discomfort from such errors is not felt. Thus, the display can be safely called excellent in the value category of the smartphone.

Let us turn to the technical equipment. In addition to the previously mentioned sensors in the device, there is also an accelerometer. Calibrated from well, problems when playing Asphalt 8 was not observed, the car was responsive and smooth. There is no indicator of missed events, which is definitely worth putting into the shortcomings of the smartphone. Gyro, pedometer, infrared port - all this is not about our review hero. However, if you remember the price of the phone, the lack of such sensors does not cause negative emotions. The fingerprint sensor in 17 cases out of 20 correctly recognized the fingerprint. The on-screen time of the smartphone after touching is about a second. Both figures are not a record, but not bad for the price segment of the device.
The energy-efficient Mediatek MT6739 , whose four cores work in tandem with 3GB of RAM and the PowerVE GE8100 video adapter, is assigned to the processor . The increased RAM volume in comparison with the majority of competitors allows us to think less about the number of “minimized” applications, but it actually does not affect the final performance. In the benchmark Antutu 7.1.0 smartphone scores 40877 points. The result is high for the processor used, but in the total mass of devices based on Android OC, such a number of “parrots” indicates a low power of technical characteristics. Game tests only confirm this fact. World Of Tanks Blitz defined recommended low graphics settings for the phone with HD textures turned on. Unfortunately, in this mode, we get about 25-35 frames per second with drawdowns of up to 18-20 FPS, which does not allow us to enjoy the gameplay with comfort.
Only by setting most of the graphics parameters to the lowest presets and turning off high-resolution textures, we get playable 40-50 fps with drops of up to 30-35 frames.
Play Market did not allow download for the device Asphalt 9, so we will be satisfied with the eighth part of the game. Unfortunately, the monitored gadget showed itself moderately here too. Comfortable and truly smooth gameplay is possible only at low graphic settings.
Thus, gamers can hardly pay attention to Vernee T3 Pro. But if the user still has a desire to start a resource-intensive game, then he may well be content with the absence of lags in the application with minimum or close to them graphics settings.
Internal memory allocated 16GB , there is a slot for microSD cards . The back panel is removable, but the battery can not be pulled out. Perhaps this developer's decision is justified by the appearance in the emergency sale of interchangeable colored covers. Design of the tray for SIM-cards is unusual, since the slots are located on each other. One of the cards can always be replaced by a microSD card. The 32GB card was recognized and worked correctly.
The phone operates on the basis of the operating system Android 8.1 Oreo. The developer did not make any strong changes to the shell, which had a positive effect on the smoothness and responsiveness of the interface. Podlagivaniya minimized and are only with a large number of applications, folded into the tray. The Russian translation of the firmware is close to 100%, only in the rare settings submenu you can find untranslated English words and expressions.
Let's go to the sound. A separate 3.5mm jack for headphones is definitely good, but the quality of the sound is mediocre, even for phones without a dedicated audio chip. Of course, it is impossible to expect any other result from an inexpensive smartphone. But the built-in speaker was pleasantly surprised by the volume . Skipping an incoming call will be difficult, especially when installing embedded songs as a ringtone. They are played louder by about 15-20%. Directly, the quality of the sound reproduced by the main speaker is low. Low frequencies are present only nominally, as well as high. Only mids remain, somewhat harsh and "dirty." The conversational speaker allows you to hear the interlocutor without any problems even in a rather noisy room. The quality of communication also did not cause any complaints, the microphone works correctly. Internet connection in terms of reception did not differ from that of ZTE Axon 7 and Xiaomi Redmi 4X. Wi-Fi reception was slightly weaker. At a distance of 6-7 meters and two walls from the laptop, which is the source of the signal, the smartphone lost connection several times. What can be praised for sure is GPS . If a couple of years ago, devices based on Mediatek processors were scolded by all and sundry, then today they can and should even be used as navigators. The gadget for a few seconds connected to 17 satellites in open areas. Indoors, the author of the review could be content “only” with connection to 11 satellites. Excellent result!
The work of GPS in the open area and indoors:
Budget phones rarely pleased with the quality of photography. Usually, cameras are becoming the main object of savings from the manufacturers, but Vernee T3 Pro has become a pleasant exception. The dual photo module of 13 and 2 megapixels is inferior in its capabilities to the sensor installed in Xiaomi Redmi 4X, but the difference cannot be called global. During the day, pictures are not without noise, but their number is small. The color rendition is not bad, but the contrast of colors is artificially exaggerated. The detail of the pictures is low, however, it’s not at all bad to call it.
In the evening, the quality of images is significantly reduced, but the modules are struggling to keep at least the minimum amount of detail acceptable to the eye, albeit somewhat spoiled by noise.
The operation of the LED flash is not entirely correct, as part of the image is overexposed at the edges. On the other hand, when shooting text in poor lighting, it will still help.
The frontal sensor of five megapixels is mediocre, you should only use it as a substitute for a mirror. Making a quality selfie is not easy, but possible.
Surprisingly, the device’s autonomy did not become its bottleneck. The developer did not stint on a large rechargeable battery at 4080mAh . The following are the approximate results you can expect from a single battery charge.
1 hour of playing World Of Tanks with a WiFi connection, 50% brightness and 50% speaker volume - minus 18% charge, therefore, the buyer gets about 5.5 hours of play.
1 hour of watching a DVD-Rip movie in 2.2GB sizes at 50% brightness, 70% of volume took up 9% of the charge, therefore, the buyer gets about 11 hours of video viewing .
For one night without a SIM-card, with Wi-Fi turned off, GPS (9 hours), the smartphone lost 2% of the charge, the same conditions, but 1 SIM-card - 3%. Thus, the buyer can expect for 15-20 days of operation of the smartphone in standby mode.
Thus, the Chinese company Bring it back gave us a beautiful, balanced and rather functional smartphone, perfectly corresponding to its price category. We list the main advantages and disadvantages of the apparatus.
Advantages:
- original and attractive design;
- A good GFF-display with an aspect ratio of 18: 9;
- 3GB of RAM;
- A dual camera that copes well with day and even evening photography within the price category;
- amazing GPS work;
- loud main speaker;
- capacious rechargeable battery, which guarantees about 2 days of work with a smartphone without recharging;
- 4G support.
Disadvantages:
- device performance is only enough for the minimum graphics settings in demanding games;
- the quality of shooting at night is average, the flash operation is not quite correct (the image is somewhat overexposed);
- Wi-Fi reception is mediocre, inferior to that of more expensive smartphones;
- the sound of the main speaker is loud, but poor quality;
- no indicator of missing messages.
