Vivo IQOO 9 Pro Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Vivo IQOO 9 Pro Overview
Vivo IQOO 9 Pro - classic bestseller
The Chinese company Vivo can hardly be called experimenting. While the corporation's direct competitors are trying to create flagships with a flexible screen or other innovations, the aforementioned manufacturer is only developing the functionality and photo capabilities of all-in-one monoblocks that are familiar to everyone. However, I absolutely do not want to recognize such a strategy as unsuccessful at the sight of the hero of today's review.
The concept of the appearance of the new item is almost the same as that of its predecessors, the colors of the metal and glass cases are also similar. Of the visible changes, only the updated block of three cameras and slightly reduced frames of the 6.78-inch AMOLED display above and below are striking. As a result, we have in front of us a truly frameless AMOLED screen that goes over the metal edging. The peephole of a 16-megapixel selfie camera is not so easy to see, while the quality of the photo content issued to it is higher than that of most opponents. A resolution of 3200x1440 pixels, a huge margin of brightness for any scenarios of using a mobile assistant, a refresh rate brought up to 120 hertz make the buyer fall in love with the AMOLED panel and gives it the highest rating.
The technical characteristics represented by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen1 CPU, 8GB / 12GB of RAM and the Adreno 730 graphics adapter are top-notch and in theory deserve praise. Unfortunately, the off-scale performance of the chipset after a certain period of time is limited by heating and throttling, but such problems are noticeable only in resource-intensive projects like Genshin Impact, and even then with maximum graphics presets. Energy efficient is also not a strong point of the processor, however, with a 4700mAh battery, you need to think about the location of the sockets once a day and a half, and the battery will take a fantastic 20 minutes to charge (fast charging at 120W ). Of course, you will not see the savings on the size of the internal storage, which was 256 / 512GB of ROM .
The photographic capabilities have undergone a significant upgrade. The main 50-megapixel Samsung GN5 sensor, coupled with 50- (wide-angle lens), 16-megapixel (telephoto, 3x optical zoom) photosensors, demonstrates flawless daytime photos and videos. And even evening photographs do not find fault with the parameters of detail and the degree of naturalness of color reproduction. 8K video looks impressive even on huge multi-inch TVs. The stereo sound is not upset either by the volume or by the uniformity of the frequency response. Add wireless charging , 5G connectivity, NFC contactless payment, and a precision sub-screen fingerprint sensor to turn a balanced, tech-savvy device into a commercially successful device, if not the cheapest. He should have left outside of China ...
