Vivo IQOO Neo 9S Pro Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Vivo IQOO Neo 9S Pro Overview
Vivo IQOO Neo 9S Pro - Minimal improvements for greater appeal
Sometimes, to maintain the relevance of a particular smartphone, you only need to make a few subtle improvements. The famous Chinese company Vivo is well aware of this. So, she decided only to update the processor of her bestseller, which has already caused a storm of positive emotions among her fans.
Externally, the new product is no different from its predecessor without the S index, but this fact cannot be called a minus. The phone at the border of the middle and high price segments has beautiful colors of the rear panels (there is also a stylized leather version), a stylish block of two photo modules, thin display frames with a built-in fingerprint scanner. The 6.78-inch AMOLED panel still features the flagship 144Hz refresh rate, an increased resolution of 2800x1260 pixels, and realistic color reproduction. It’s hard to find fault with the brightness reserve, which is approaching 2000 nits. Of course, the hated PWM effect is practically absent.
The technical characteristics were the latest MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ CPU, 12/16GB of RAM and the ARM Mali Immortalis-G720 MC12 video core. The increase in gaming power is insignificant (+3% in tests), but energy efficiency is improved and throttling is lower. You can play your favorite and at the same time very resource-intensive Honkai: Star Rail, Genshin Impact, Wreckfest and other projects with maximum graphic settings and a stable framerate (60FPS+). Of course, the gadget could not do without decent autonomy. The 5160 mAh battery reaches full capacity in an incredible 20 minutes (fast wired charging with a power of 120W), and you need to remember to look for power banks or sockets once every one and a half, or even two days. 256/512/1024GB of permanent memory are allocated, so there will be no shortage of ROM.
The main 50-megapixel cameras (Sony IMX920 main sensor with hybrid OIS+EIS stabilization and wide-angle lens) are no worse than those of the phablet's competitors. They easily cope with daytime shots and do not give in to evening shooting. Minimum noise and blurred objects are guaranteed. Of course, there is stereo sound, NFC contactless payments, and support for 5G networks. But you will have to look for more premium case materials and moisture protection in more expensive analogues. However, even without them, a technologically advanced and inexpensive device is of considerable interest.
