Vivo IQOO Neo7 Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Vivo IQOO Neo7 Overview
Vivo IQOO Neo7 - the evolution of inexpensive flagships
The IQOO-series of smartphones from the Chinese company Vivo has always tried to surprise users with an excellent combination of price and quality, making almost revolutions in the price segment every few generations. The hero of today's review also has a chance to become such a device, because it is almost impossible to find an opponent with similar technical characteristics.
The appearance of the novelty retained most of the features of its predecessors, but improved in terms of tactile sensations, because a metal edging was used. Of course, the overall beauty of the exterior is achieved through the signature colors of the glass back panels, a massive stylish camera unit, which have become even thinner than the screen frames. The 6.78-inch AMOLED panel remains unchanged in resolution (2400x1080 pixels) and picture refresh rate (120Hz), but has added some extra brightness and color accuracy. The fingerprint sensor built into the display, the oleophobic layer, even on the complete protective film, did not disappear either.
The processor of the gadget is the most productive Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, which is the dream of every gamer. With 8GB/12GB of RAM and an overclocked Adreno 730 GPU, it delivers record-breaking benchmark results and amazing frame rates in any game. However, the hot temper of the flagship chipset could not be completely tamed, throttling still manifests itself after a certain period of time, even if lags and slowdowns are hardly noticeable to the eyes. The energy efficiency of the CPU is mediocre, because it is aimed primarily at flawless performance. However, there will be few problems with autonomy, because the battery capacity was 5000mAh. The battery is enough for a day of frequent interaction with an Android smartphone, fast charging at 120W will also not be superfluous for the buyer.
Photo capabilities - this is perhaps the most noticeable change in the device. The 50-, 8- and 2-megapixel cameras are now topped by the new Sony IMX766 sensor, which is much better at night shooting than the Samsung GW1. There is less noise, the reproduction of colors is close to natural, the photos are distinguished by a large number of details. Videos are recorded up to 8K resolution, there is hybrid stabilization. There is also stereo sound, the volume of the speakers is almost the same, it is enough for receiving calls and listening to music comfortably. Contactless NFC payments and support for 5G frequencies are also not forgotten, but wireless charging and protection against dust and moisture are cut out. The last step was taken to contain the price tag of the device, thanks to which we got such a powerful, functional and at the same time affordable Android smartphone. Strict recommendation for purchase, although the global version of the phablet is not yet planned.
