Vivo iQOO U5 Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Vivo IQOO U5 Overview
Vivo IQOO U5 - uncompromising struggle
The laurels of Xiaomi do not allow other representatives of the smartphone market to live in peace. So, the Chinese corporation Vivo decided to release full-fledged opponents to the new phones of the Redmi Note line from the previously mentioned developer. Will new items be able to compete with future bestsellers in beauty, functionality and price tag?
The appearance of the hero of the review is not devoid of minor flaws, but it is worthy of praise. The dual photomodule does not look cheap, matte plastic resists scratches well, and the tactile sensations from it are good. The fingerprint scanner has found its place on the side edge, this solution looks relevant. The 6.58-inchIPS display has narrow bezels for this type of screen, and an 8-megapixel selfie camera is neatly located at its top, which is unfortunately an outdated form factor. In terms of brightness and contrast, the OGS panel is far from the best, even in the price segment, but a high resolution of 2408 x 1080 pixels and an image refresh rate of 120Hz allow us to close our eyes to some problems.
Well-chosen specifications are one of the keys to the success of budget Android smartphones. The latest Qualcomm Snapdragon695 CPU, coupled with 4GB / 6GB / 8GB ofRAM and the Adreno 619 video accelerator, is difficult to criticize. The processor is suitable even for gamers, because most modern games are deprived of lags, only very resource-intensive Genshin Impact and Fortnite will be partial exceptions to the rules. However, even the flagships in the above projects sometimes frustrate with friezes. The chipset is not characterized by excessive power consumption. Thus, you will have to remember about charging the 5000mAh battery only once every couple of days, and the critical heating of the mobile assistant is felt only after an hour of video shooting. It is allowed to store information on 128GB ofROM or MicroSD cards.
The photo capabilities are not top-end, which is not surprising given the price of the gadget. The 50- and 2-megapixel cameras are designed for daytime photography in clear weather. If a certain amount of noise and smearing of small objects does not frighten the buyer, then it makes sense to try evening photo sessions. There are no stereo speakers, but the sound is still loud and generally balanced. On the positive side, we will indicate the support of 5G networks, on the negative side - the absence of contactless NFC payments due to the focus of the phablet on the inhabitants of the Middle Kingdom. But I want to believe that a device with an original or changed name will reach the CIS countries and Europe, where it can claim the title of a hit.
