Vivo iQOO Z9 Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Vivo IQOO Z9 Overview
Vivo IQOO Z9 - an improvement you want to pay for
The Chinese company Vivo makes both flagship smartphones and their inexpensive analogues equally well. Thus, the manufacturer's Z-series of phones has always offered excellent performance and attractive design at a reasonable price. And it looks like its new representative will add to the list an excellent display and decent photographic capabilities.
The appearance of the new product has become more relevant. The bezels of the screen have become smaller, as has the peephole of the 16-megapixel selfie camera in the upper part, the fingerprint sensor has moved under the glass of the AMOLED panel, and the dual camera unit also looks more interesting. The glass back panel pleasantly cools the palm; it’s a pity that the edging is still made of polycarbonate to reduce the cost of the gadget. The 6.7-inch AMOLED display has an impressive resolution of 2700x1224 pixels, excellent clarity is complemented by smooth content with a picture refresh rate of 120Hz, and a brightness reserve of 1700 nits. Oleophobic coating is also present.
The processor chosen is the latest MediaTek Dimensity 7200, which flawlessly combines excellent gaming capabilities and energy efficiency. The chipset, together with 8GB/12GB of RAM and the Mali G610MP4 graphics core, scores over 800 thousand AnTuTu points, so even fans of Genshin Impact and Fortnite can enjoy their favorite games. The autonomy provided by the 5000mAh battery also does not disappoint. You will have to charge the battery once every couple of days, and leave it at the outlet for about half an hour (fast charging with a power of 67W). Of course, the technological device could not do without internal storage of 256/512GB.
The main 50-megapixel photo module with hybrid stabilization is suitable even for evening photography. The footage does not disappoint with the amount of detail; blur and noise are not a frequent occurrence. The 8-megapixel wide-angle lens is, of course, noticeably simpler; it is better used for daytime shots with low dynamics of events and objects. The stereo sound is loud, rich, and listening to music is comfortable. NFC contactless payments and support for 5G networks have not been forgotten either. The device has one serious drawback - the lack of a global version, which is why buyers from the CIS countries and Europe need to come to terms with the disadvantage of FDD-LTE B7 and the presence of untranslated services, and the difficulty of setting up alerts for a number of messengers and applications. However, all of the above are trifles against the backdrop of the abundance of competitive advantages of a potential hit.
