Vivo S18 Pro Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Vivo S18 Pro Overview
Vivo S18 Pro is the best choice
Perhaps the most desirable and correct purchase for every fan of mobile electronics is a device that has the best price-quality ratio. Unfortunately, there are not many truly balanced devices on the smartphone market. However, experienced manufacturers still delight several times a year with extremely functional, technologically advanced and at the same time inexpensive products. The hero of today's review became one of these.
The design of the device, worked out to the smallest detail, will definitely add to the list of its advantages. The variety of colors of the rear glass panels will make the exterior attractive to any user; the updated block of photo modules with a separate LED flash and the absence of display frames complement the positive impression. The 6.78-inch AMOLED screen turned out to be more than good. What separates it from flagship solutions is only the maximum brightness reserve (1800 nits), but it’s still not difficult to see the picture on a sunny day. The resolution of 2800x1260 pixels, 120 Hz image refresh rate, and effective oleophobic coating allow AMOLED panels to be highly rated.
The developer did not skimp on the performance specifications. The MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ processor, 12/16GB of RAM, and the Mali Immortalis-G715 MP11 video adapter turn the gadget into a real gaming monster that can easily handle all existing projects. Even Genshin Impact will delight you with a smooth framerate with virtually any graphic presets. Don't complain about the energy efficiency of the chipset either. Firstly, the heating of the CPU is low even after an hour of gameplay, and secondly, the 5000 mAh battery can almost always withstand a day and a half of using the phablet. It's a pity that there is no wireless charging. As in the younger brother of the unit, the battery is characterized only by a wired charging method with a power of 80W. The amount of permanent memory can be 256 or 512GB in UFS 3.1 format; it cannot be expanded with MicroSD cards.
The main photo module is the latest Sony IMX920 sensor with hybrid stabilization. It copes excellently with its responsibilities for daytime and even evening shooting, consistently providing detailed frames without noticeable blur, noise or other artifacts. The wide-angle Samsung JN1 lens of 50 megapixels and the 12-megapixel telephoto lens with 2x zoom are also not disappointing. The 50MP selfie camera will fill social media pages with wonderful photos that can be posted without any editing. Stereo sound is loud, uniform, rich. NFC contactless payment, support for 5G networks, optimized Android 14 and a price tag at the border of the middle and upper price segments make the phone close to an ideal purchase.
