Vivo S30 Pro mini Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Vivo S30 Pro mini Overview
Vivo S30 Pro mini - when compactness does not interfere with other parameters
Not every fan of mobile electronics likes the constant increase in the size of smartphones. On the one hand, a large screen increases the comfort of web surfing, watching videos and other operations, on the other hand, ergonomics suffers noticeably. That is why compact smartphones are becoming increasingly popular today. The Chinese company Vivo is well aware of this trend, which led to the release of the hero of today's review.
The appearance of the new product is original and stylish. Black metal edging, unusual colors of the rear panels, a distinctive block of photo modules distinguish the device from its monotonous classmates. The display frames are thin around the entire perimeter, rounded corners make the shape more ergonomic, there is also moisture protection according to IP68 standards. The 6.31-inch AMOLED panel has a built-in fingerprint scanner, and the quality of the image it produces is truly flagship. The excellent resolution of 2640x1216 pixels for the diagonal is combined with the smoothness of the content at a refresh rate of 120 Hz, realistic color rendering, a huge brightness reserve of 5000 nits and a high-quality oleophobic layer. In addition, the PWM effect is almost absent.
The technical characteristics are the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ CPU, 12/16 GB of RAM and the Mali Immortalis G720MC12 graphics accelerator. This is last year's top solution, gaining more than two million points in the AnTuTu test. The manufacturer managed to maintain the efficiency of the cooling system, so in games you can safely set the maximum graphics settings and enjoy a stable framerate. Surprisingly, a capacious 6500 mAh battery was placed in a tiny monoblock by today's standards. It will provide about a couple of days of active interaction with the device, and the battery will gain full capacity in 40 minutes thanks to fast charging at 90W. It's a pity that for some reason there is no wireless analogue. The internal memory is allocated 256/512 GB.
The photographic capabilities are slightly behind those of full-fledged camera phones, but still good. The only criticism is the simple 8-megapixel wide-angle lens. The main 50-megapixel Sony IMX921 module and the IMX882 telephoto lens with three-fold optical zoom received hybrid stabilization and help to take highly detailed pictures without noticeable artifacts even in low light conditions. The stereo sound is excellent, it is both loud and quite balanced. Of course, the gadget could not do without NFC contactless payments, support for 5G networks. But getting rid of non-disconnectable applications-services for China is possible only with the release of the global version of the unit. But even such shortcomings do not spoil the impression of an amazing device.
