Vivo T3 5G Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Vivo T3 5G Overview
Vivo T3 5G - not keeping up with opponents?
The Chinese company Vivo regularly produces dozens of different smartphones a year, but not all models in its range become bestsellers. Thus, the manufacturer has a lot of phones that are either inferior to competitors in terms of technical characteristics, or come out later than potential hits. It is the second situation that arose with the hero of today’s review, from whom Xiaomi and Realme have already managed to take an impressive percentage of the audience.
The appearance of the new product is not bad, but it has a number of unpleasant shortcomings. Thus, the display frames are not the narrowest, and the body is made mostly of plastic, which is not as beautiful and tactilely pleasant in comparison with glass and metal. But in terms of picture quality, the AMOLED panel is more than good. Peak brightness almost reaches 2000 nits, FullHD+ resolution with a diagonal of 6.67 inches allows you to achieve decent content clarity. Of course, there was increased smoothness at a 120-Hz image refresh rate and a high-quality oleophobic coating. They also worked on color rendering; there are practically no errors. The under-screen fingerprint sensor is quite accurate, fingerprint recognition is close to 100%.
The performance of the phablet is ensured by a combination of the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 processor, 8GB of RAM and the Mali G610MC4 video core. The CPU is quite up to date in terms of benchmark results (about 750 thousand points in AnTuTu) and in terms of energy efficiency. Ordinary users will be pleased with the responsiveness of the Android 14 interface and the speed of opening applications. But experienced gamers will be slightly upset by the need to limit graphic presets in Genshin Impact, Fortnite and other resource-intensive projects to medium-high presets. Some Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 would be significantly more interesting here. But from a 5000mAh battery it is not difficult to achieve up to 9-10 hours of active screen time; there is also fast charging. True, its power is far from the record (44W), it will take 50-60 minutes to stay at the outlet. The size of permanent memory has been increased to 128/256GB, a hybrid microSD slot for ROM expansion is present.
There are questions regarding photo opportunities. If the main 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 module with optical stabilization does not fail in any lighting conditions, then the lack of not only a telephoto lens, but even an ordinary wide-angle photo module is very difficult to forgive. As a result, a mobile photographer will be somewhat limited in shooting scenarios, but competitors in the price category do not suffer from such disadvantages. There is stereo sound, its volume and frequency response are not satisfactory. Since the gadget is temporarily sold only in India, contactless payments NFC and FDD-LTE B7/B20 did not visit it. It is necessary to wait for every item for every buyer from Europe and the CIS countries in the global version. Thus, we have before us a competitive, but still not the best representative of the value segment.
