Vivo X Fold Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Vivo X Fold Overview
Vivo X Fold - continuing to improve the format
Foldable smartphones have not yet gained immense popularity due to their fragility, high cost, and sometimes limited functionality, however, large manufacturers of such equipment are trying to eliminate these shortcomings. So, the Chinese company Vivo presented its fans with a gadget that costs less than its direct opponents and at the same time has a significantly higher performance.
It's hard not to fall in love with the new design. The beautiful round design of the four photomodules, the excellent combination of the main and auxiliary ( 6.52 inches, 2520x1080 pixels ) AMOLED screens in a glass case with a metal frame will please the eye. The folding AMOLED display of more than 8-inch diagonal received not the most impressive resolution of 2160x1916 pixels, which is still enough to detail the picture while maintaining the overall energy efficiency of the device. The displayed image pleases with such competitive advantages as a 120-Hz refresh rate, a huge margin of brightness and a high-quality oleophobic coating, but it must be remembered that the AMOLED panel itself is covered with special plastic, not glass. As a result, it is better to behave with a mobile assistant delicately and accurately.
As for the technical characteristics, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen1 CPU, 12GB of RAM and the Adreno 730 video adapter simply cannot come up with anything more relevant. This is a bundle that scores record scores in benchmarks and provides lightning-fast responsiveness of the Android 12 interface. Of course, the exorbitant power of the chipset is also visible in games. But the incredible beauty of the worlds of Genshin Impact and Fortnite can upset throttling during long gaming sessions. To avoid this process and excessive heating of the device, it is recommended to set medium-high graphics presets. The energy efficiency of the processor is unlikely to please everyone, but potential problems with autonomy are solved by using a 4600mAh battery. At the same time, the battery gains capacity in less than an hour, because it is endowed with fast wired charging with a power of 66W and a wireless analog of 50W. The internal storage is provided 256/512GB .
Not far gone is the considered Android-smartphone and from the title of a camera phone thanks to the outstanding main 50-, 48-, 12- and 8-megapixel photosensors. Astounding hybrid stabilization, 5x optical zoom, and a sophisticated night mode will make blurry or noisy shots a real rarity even in the hands of a novice photographer. Do not criticize the stereo sound , which came out loud and rich. NFC contactless payments and 5G support are also in place, but there is no moisture protection, which will definitely disappoint a number of users. But even without it, the phone can cause exceptional delight.
