Vivo X Fold3 Pro Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Vivo X Fold3 Pro Overview
Vivo X Fold3 Pro - towards perfection
It is increasingly difficult for modern flagship smartphones to surprise the sophisticated public. Users have already seen top technical specifications, outstanding photo capabilities and other qualities in dozens of phones, so developers have to come up with new ways to amaze the audience. Thus, the Chinese company Vivo has released the hero of today’s review, namely the most ergonomic, thin and technologically advanced “clamshell” on the market.
The appearance of the new product is virtually flawless. The reasonable thickness of the device even when folded, the minimal frames of both screens, the stylish triple photo module, the optical sub-display fingerprint scanner, the glass back panel and metal edging and, of course, the form factor itself are truly delightful. There is also moisture protection according to the IPX8 standard. An additional 6.53-inch AMOLED screen (2748x1172 pixels, 120Hz) and a main folding 8.03-inch AMOLED panel (2480x2200 pixels, refresh rate 120 Hz) have impressive clarity of the displayed picture, its excellent smoothness, extremely accurate color reproduction and level brightness of 4500 nits. It is simply impossible to find fault with any aspect of AMOLED displays. The folding system itself is extremely durable and reliable.
The phablet's processor was Qualcomm Snapdragon Gen 3 eighth series, together with 16GB of RAM and the Adreno 750 graphics core, reaching about two million points in the AnTuTu benchmark. This performance will allow you to avoid the slightest stutter not only in the Android 14 interface, but even in resource-intensive games. You can immerse yourself in the worlds of Genshin Impact or Honkai: Star Rail even with maximum graphics settings. The frame rate does not fall below the cherished 60. At the same time, the newest CPU is also energy efficient. A capacious 5700mAh battery can withstand about one and a half to two days of use with the device; the buyer has a choice of wired charging with a power of 100W and a wireless alternative of 50W. An expensive device could not do without an impressive amount of internal storage in 512/1024GB of ROM in UFS 4.0 format.
The photographic capabilities of the main 50-megapixel Omnivision OV50H sensor and the OV64B (3X Zoom) telephoto lens, equipped with hybrid stabilization, as well as the 50MP wide-angle module from Samsung are not inferior to those of camera phones. Not only daytime, but also evening shots will be replete with the smallest details, without noise and other artifacts. There was also a place in the unit for loud stereo speakers with pleasant, rich sound. Support for NFC, 5G networks, and the presence of an infrared port for controlling household appliances complement the already huge list of advantages. The only disappointment is the price tag, which seriously exceeds a thousand dollars. But the gadget is still capable of earning the money requested for it with a margin. Finding an analogue to it is not so easy.
