Vivo X100 Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Vivo X100 Overview
Vivo X100 - improvements in every aspect
The flagship smartphones of the Chinese company Vivo are capable of surprising the most sophisticated lover of mobile electronics. Reasonable by today's standards, the price is combined with thoughtful design, an advanced processor and excellent photographic capabilities. The hero of today's review is trying to improve each of the listed parameters. And he succeeds quite well.
The appearance of the new product is similar to that of its predecessors, but now there is a version of the phablet without a back panel stylized in leather. The metal edging has not disappeared, the round block of three photomodules is still incredibly beautiful, and moisture protection has appeared according to IP68 standards. The frames of the 6.78-inch AMOLED display have not become larger either. The screen itself has slightly increased in brightness, maintaining the highest resolution of 3200x1440 pixels and a 120-Hz picture refresh rate. The fingerprint sensor built into it rarely makes mistakes and is comfortable to use.
Technical characteristics have received a noticeable increase in performance. The latest MediaTek Dimensity 9300 CPU does not lag behind its main competitor, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, both in synthetic tests (almost 2,000,000 points in the AnTuTu benchmark) and in games and resource-intensive applications. Even video editors work without visible stuttering; the demanding Genshin Impact and Diablo Immortal function simply perfectly with maximum graphics presets. Of course, such results would not be possible without 12GB/16GB of RAM. The battery capacity was 5000mAh. This is not a record, but sufficient for good autonomy. The search for sockets will have to be carried out only once every day and a half; the battery charging power has been increased to 120W. As for the amount of permanent memory, the user can choose from 256/512/1024GB of ROM in UFS 4.0 format.
The main 50-megapixel (Sony IMX920 main sensor and Samsung JN1 wide-angle lens) and 64-megapixel (Omnivision OV64B telephoto lens, 3x Zoom) modules do not give in to shooting in difficult lighting conditions and increased dynamics of events. Evening photos are free of noise, video in 8K resolution is replete with details, and pleases with smooth images thanks to hybrid stabilization. Stereo sound is loud and rich, with no shortage of bass. There is NFC, 5G support, but, unfortunately, there is no wireless charging and global software, which is why there are untranslated settings menus and minor problems with notifications. But such minor flaws do not spoil the impression of an outstanding device.
